Tablo Ripper - Automatically download new recordings

I think we have an issue with General Hospital again. Ine the Your Tablo Recordings windo, the 3 episodes on TAblo show up with the name of the show (General Hospital) and the DAte/Time stamp only. No episode name. Consequently, when I try to download the 3 episodes, the first one goes into the selected directory, the second stays in the tmp subdirectory, and the third doesn’t get downloaded, likely due to a name conflict.

Here’s the log file…

Here’s a screenshot of Tablo Ripper…

Drat - no good deed goes unpunished. I’ll take a look at it in the A.M.

No worries… the General Hospital episodes aren’t mine :wink:

I hope what you did for me didn’t cause Ikahhan problems… :disappointed_relieved:

By the way I have tried ripping several different daytime TV shows & they import into Plex perfectly.

Thanks Again

Phil

Thou doth protest too much. :wink:

LOL… Indeed!

Wrong year is listed.

Ex:
Currently showing The Flash (2015)

Correct Show title The Flash (2014)

Found another problem
Title of show is not correct in metadata which is breaking my MCEBuddy auto detect by title

Example below should be Perry Mason

@mavsfan815
That’s why I abandoned metadata in the first place - MCEBuddy confusion. Which makes a good case for having an option to include metadata. Just made that change, and it defaults to “false”, so @PhilH, you’re going to need to “check” that box to send video directly to Plex, and everyone using MCEBuddy should leave it “unchecked”.

The bad news on "The Flash (2014) is that I don’t have an episode to test with (yet). The good news is that if you’ll re-run one of them, and that same episode of Perry Mason, you’ll find “@mavsfan815” in the log file (enable logging first). Please send me the JSON response next to that tag, and I’ll have the data I need to debug them.

I recently have gotten a bunch of these. I tried having the ripper process one to see what it was and it turns out to be a portion (about 5 min) of a scheduled recording. I went through about 2 days where the Tablo would record programs but when I tried to play them back they would show up as zero time recordings.The Tablo would just freeze up and do nothing until I exited from that program. I had to reboot the Tablo to get it to record playable recordings. These seem to be segments from those unplayable recordings. I’ve deleted the recordings from the Tablo (according to the interface) but they still show up on the ripper. I’ve had other programs continue to show up on the ripper for a period of time (sometimes weeks) after being deleted with the tablo interface.

Working perfectly for me now! Appreciate all your efforts on this, @CycleJ

@CycleJ

I figured it was the changes you made for me that messed things up. I was laying in bed last night and thought about why don’t we have a check box for Plex Metadata. Kind of like Tablo Exporter has a checkbox for Plex Naming. But I didn’t know how hard that would be.

It looks like you beat me to it. Thank you very much for finding a way for everyone to have what they want or need your program to do.

Thanks @CycleJ. I appreciate it. I’ll take a look at it this week and let you know.

I have been getting the following error when trying to use the latest version of Tablo Ripper.
It seems to connect fine as well as display the episodes recorded but when I start to rip them here is what pops up.

Thanks,
Simeon

@CycleJ I am having the same error that @simeon is having same screens and all, i was running on 32bit i thought that was the problem i finally got my 64bit windows working it needed a new power supply and it is having the same problem, i have notice just before it errors out it shows a different tablo in the select tablo section just before it errors (i had my girl friends Tablo at my house working before i took it to her house) her tablo is in the list and i dont know how to get rid of it even on this new install of tablo ripper it shows up and her tablo been gone for a month now, so how did it get on this computer and how do i edit that pop down list to remove her tablo?

@CycleJ I tried deleting the config file and same probllem i also tried renaming my tablo to maybe move it up the list but it would not her tablo is listed first so i tried Using the IP address and that works it works real good thank you you are amazing and this program is amazing i I love it ThankYou ThankYou ThankYou

Yep, Tablo Ripper is faster on startup getting the data from the Tablo using a static IP. Thanks @CycleJ for the program - use it every day to populate my library.
