@Davidvr I did, in fact I ended up deleting the whole thing and starting over… Still happens
@Jestep Sounds like this: https://forums.plex.tv/index.php/topic/17557-media-server-stuck-on-starting/page-10
@Davidvr, like I said, I deleted the entire dir structure… And I can install other plugins just fine
The installation process does the same thing for me. I shut down PMS, then I deleted anything with Tablo in it from the Plug-in Support folder and the Plug-ins folder. I tried to install the Tablo channel again and it just spins forever. Tablo icon never shows up in the Home screen or Channels screen.
@theuser86 I actually deleted the entire Plex Media Server folder under Application Support
@Davidvr… Ah I should have looked at the Tablo plugin log before…
@Jestep Thats my bad
I guess I forgot to commit that last before the pull request, I’ve committed the fix and asked for my pull request to be treated as critical
@Davidvr, cool thanks, I fixed it locally just to try and play around with it
@Jestep Is the override IP working?
@Davidvr, so far so good!
@Davidvr, not sure if something wonky is going on though, but I see dupes of Live TV
I found that I had two Plex media servers on my LAN. I thought my old machine was disconnected, but it was not. So shut it down, figuring it would all work better. Nope. So I have the Tablo channel installed on the Plex Media Server (when I go down the list, it is checked, and when clicked it checks for lastest verson and says I have it), but it does not show up on the Plex client as a channel. Not on Plex Home Theater either (on same ubuntu machine). On my phone, I was formerly able to watch live TV, recordings, etc, away from home with no trouble on a 4G connection. Now Plex says the Tablo channel is “empty.” I have restarted, etc, and the Plex server just updated itself. Even at home I use Plex so I can Chromecast. Any ideas?
Sorry, but I didn’t see the second page of posts before posting mine. It is exactly what I have. However I just let the Tablo channel installation spin for about 15 minutes and it finally stopped and said it was installed. But as with the others, does not show up on the server.
I think some of the previous posts do not pertain to me. I have PMS on a ubuntu unit, and my only problem is the server, not any clients. So teach me like a little child: should I do anything more than just restart the server? Do I need to uninstall the channel and reinstall, or maybe just “update” the channel?
It is the same issue @oldmike… @Davidvr has fixed and pushed to get updated, so hopefully it should be fixed ASAP
When done, what will I need to do, if anything, to get going?
If the current channel is flawed, would it be possible to just post the previous version which worked in the meantime?
I just checked the Plex Tablo github and the latest Pull Request by Davidvr yesterday has not been done yet. This is not David’s fault, it is Plex’s.
@oldmike unless you setup plex to never update the plugin it will automatically update the plugin even if you install the old version.
plex plug-in spinning wheel here. worked a couple of days ago.
