I’ve never heard anyone ever suggest that the roku os is linux based.
Or as roku states:
The Roku OS is the operating system developed specifically for streaming TV
And I’ve been waiting since the release of roku os version 11 for the fast forward problem to be solved. Of course the tablo app isn’t the only app seeing this problem. And that is why I have a different backup device
This is all nice, but irrelevant to the issue at hand. They have identified the problem and have a fix, the issue now is how long it’s going to take to implement the fix. It’s been over a month since the announcement of a fix.
I don’t know if Apple still works as it did under Jobs, but back then they sent the new release to developers ahead of the release so that we could test our products and assure compatibility. Either that is not happening anymore (they’ve made a lot of changes since his passing) or Tablo didn’t do extensive testing when they received the pre-release software.
