At 22 weeks tablo might be breaking new ground by having an open “normal” people beta that lasts that long.

Well it has been 6 months since they announced the beta so probably by Christmas.

I don’t think most Tablo users would accept the app in its current form. There are a few tweaks being worked out that have taken some time, but the way people on here get overwhelmed by the tiniest blip here or there when it comes to the fully released apps, I’m sure they’ve learned their lesson and want to have as much ironed out as they can.
It’s a simple process to sign up and try out the beta for yourself. It’s not only the best way to find out what’s going on with the app, it’s also the only way to use the AppleTV version of it until they feel it’s up to par.
It seems like a lot of the 4th gen users aren’t very tech savvy, so the longer that Tablo takes to make this more user-friendly, the less whining they’ll have to deal with.

All the other released apps have blips. And the world has survived. What makes appletv so special.

At a minimum, I would wait till the next version of TV-OS comes out, then test Tablo to see what Apple breaks…

I like to live dangerously so I’m currently running the Tablo beta on tvOS 18 beta. Tablo app is working well so far.

Just bought a Tablo TV today so I could test out the Apple TV app. I have applied for the beta, can’t wait to try it out.
I really find this interesting. Six months into Beta testing Tablo is still accepting testers. Apparently this app is still a long way from being ready for release. I don’t know how long beta testing, in general, normally last but this really seems extreme. Apparently if you want this product for Apple Tv you first you have to purchase it and then become a tester for free so Tablo doesn’t have to pay anyone to test their product. That is a nice plan by Tablo. Saves a lot of money. This app should be absolutely perfect when actually released. Tablo should be transparent with its customers and announce a completion date.

Bruh Man… Beta Testing can take as long as it can. There is no bible for the length of beta testing. I’ve been apart of Alpha/Beta testing that’s taken up to a year. How do you know if something is extreme, while not knowing it at the same time?!
Sorry, but Tablo isnt the only vendor that does “free beta” testing. A whole laundry list of vendors do this. This is normal. This aint that deep, stop reachin bro.
