Roku 14 and Live Grid Concerns

Try this…In the settings for the Roku device, go to Audio → Digital Output Format → Custom, then make sure Dolby Digital is selected for the Dolby section. Can leave DTS off. Then go back to the Tablo app and try again.

I just started to have this same issue and your fix worked. Thank you
Any idea why this has to be done?
Thanks again.

Your welcome, just wanted help others with the same problem I was having. This was a suggestion by Tablo support to try and it worked for me.

For me, this brings back the picture in Tablo but then I get no sound. Any other ideas? I’ve tried all the other Roku options for sound and it either still doesn’t show live TV, or shows without sound.

Thank you… this worked (sort of…) Now channels load, but no sound! Appreciate any thoughts you might have.

Same… hopefully can resolve (or I can learn to read lips!)

You can turn on closed captioning so you don’t have to read lips. Press the * and go to Accessibility & language and you will find closed captioning. Only 1of my Roku’s have updated to OS14, the fix that Tablo gave me that I shared with you, didn’t make my sound disappear.

You could try restarting your TV or check your TV’s HDMI settings…

I wonder if the no sound has something to do with having a soundbar setup…

Customize how your Roku TV processes
sound. Your TV must be connected to a
receiver using optical or HDMI eARC.

Note: If you select an audio format that is not supported by your device, you will not hear any sound.

Or the opposite… Regular Roku connected to eARC…

Who knows… now I get sound, but not for local channels. Weird.

Roku Express on Samsung tv suddenly cant play any live OTA channels. Or playback any channels, The program populates normally. All streaming channels work. Customer service is no help, suggests cycling powere , deleting TABLO app, reinstalling etc says the issue is “known” “Roku TABLO clashing” ???

In the settings for the Roku device, go to Audio → Digital Output Format → Custom, then make sure Dolby Digital is selected for the Dolby section. Can leave DTS off. Then go back to the Tablo app and try again.

TabloTV sent that message out the other day as a suggested workaround.

I tried . Get video now but no sound. Any help would be great.

Same here. Video but no sound using Roku Dolby

for the record, I got ack live and library recordings with audio after setting ROKU audio to CUSTOM, formerly STEREO. I think.
Equipment Samsung basic 2024 tv (UN60DU7200F), audio out via eARC HDMI 3 to cheap VISIO soundbar (SB 3651)
Android TABLO app did not lose any function
