Tried that switch and my OTA channels on both of my rokus still arent working. I can view live channels through the app on my mobile device.
Anybother possible suggestions?
Just tried sdio fix. Get pic but no sound now. Please help !
Go to walmart, spend a few bucks on an onn FHD GoogleTV stick ($15) or 4k box ($20), and pray to Zeus that Roku gets a fix out before your return window has closed?

Definitely has something to do with decoding audio.
I have a couple of Rokus with the 4th gen.Tablo. One works and one does not:
Roku Premier (OS 14.04) + Tablo 2.252: Works fine.
Roku streaming stick (3820X, OS 14.04) + Tablo 2.252: Tablo’s streaming channels work fine, but when choosing live channels in the Tablo menu guide, it goes black briefly then bounces back to the menu. Tablo recordings do not playback on the streaming stick, but work fine on Premier and iPhone.
However, I finally got a picture on the Roku stick by changing Roku defaults, which had been:
Setup > Audio > Preferred Streaming Format > Auto
Setup > Audio > Digital Output Format > Auto
After changing Digital Output Format to “Dolby” there’s now a picture but no sound on live TV and recordings.
Hope this gives the Tablo people some clues.

I agree. I gave up and purchased the $50 Onn box and have zero regrets.

It appears to be a Roku 14.0 problem. My Tablo 4gen was working just fine on my tv with aRoku Model 3820X - Streaming Stick 4K until the Roku updated its software the other day. On that Stick, I can no longer watch any Live OTA channels. My other TV uses a Roku Ultra, which has not yet updated the Roku OS - on this tv Tablo is fine - for now.
Same with me. My tv that use a Roku 3820X was working fine until it update the Roku software to 14.0. Now can not watch any Live OTA channels. My other tv using a Roku Ultra with the 13.1.4 software is just fine - for now.
This has been an ongoing problem with Tablo/Roku since I can remember (and I got a Tablo right after they came out). I like the simplicity of Roku, I don’t need all the banners, suggestions and such, I just want to watch what I want w/o bells and whistles.
To that end, I got a google TV and you can simplify it to mainly just app icons. Google doesn’t want you to do that, so they kinda bury it, but it’s there.
I got it as a back up, but it may become my main device soon.

I am having exactly the same problem. I get the TABLO stuff but none of the OTA stuff. What’s the solution? Do I return my TABLO unit or what? Thanks in advance!

Yeah, mine is also a Roku Express 4K+. Note: Here’s what someone posted in my 1,439-member TabloTV 4th Gen Facebook group: “In the settings for the Roku device, go to Audio → Digital Output Format → Custom, then make sure Dolby Digital is selected for the Dolby section. Can leave DTS off. Then go back to the Tablo app and try again.”
I tried that, and it did successfully get playback to work, but now the sound is gone. Notice also that the timecodes (lower left and right) have all digits X’d out. (see pic)
Fortunately, even with missing sound from the Tablo app on Roku Express 4K+ with these settings, that same Roku has no trouble playing back sound on my AirTV Anywhere using the Sling app.

Same, after changing digital audio settings, now have picture but no audio. Watching on Android tablet app with no issues.
settings are not in the Tablo app, it’s the Roku settings, at home screen of Roku, press up arrow key once to find settings
This worked for me as well!! TY! Last response I got from Tablo Help Desk is they knew it was an issue and are working for a fix with no timeline. I I shared this info so hopefully they can help future callers.

My Tablo is showing the names of shows tries to open channel with circle then goes back to guide. Its working fine on my roku tv and phone. Tried rebooting Tablo, router and roku still won’t work. It’s kinda weird
It only seems to be local stations as well. I got this device to watch football on all my devices. Now I want to return it
so which device is having the problem?
