Updated my Roku 3800X to Roku OS 14.0 and now I can not watch OTA channels, when I select the OTA channel I want to watch, the screen goes black and takes me back to the Tablo guide.
We are still looking for solutions and may have narrowed it down. Can anyone who is seeing the same issue @TV-Watcher-2-Much just mentioned try the following:
In the settings for the Roku device, go to Audio ā Digital Output Format ā Custom, then make sure Dolby Digital is selected for the Dolby section. Can leave DTS off. Then go back to the Tablo app and try again.
@TabloForumAdmin Just tried your settings change you mentioned in previous post and now my OTA channels work. Thanks. Quick question, is there a fix for the green screen with video up in upper LH corner.
The Roku StreamBar SE does not have that option under the Audio menu. It only has āMenu volumeā and āAudio preferred languageā.

Suddenly this morning, when I launch my tablo, Every time I try and pick a station from the live menu or one of my recorded shows it wonāt launch it. Just goes right back to the tv guide screen. I have tried all of the rebooting, resetting unplugging options, none of it works. This all just started this morning,suddenly. itās been working fine until now.
It might help others if they knew what type of device this was on. Also, if you have more than one viewing device, what the behavior is on those as well.
Iām using a ādumbā tv with a roku ultra, running roku 14.0. No external hard drives or routers, just the tablo and the roku app.
I have another tv with a roku express and i just checked it and that one seems to work. Did roku issue a update or something?
Thereās been a lot of issues with Roku lately. Many have reported similar issues (scroll down to find them).
Iāve been lucky with my 4k Streaming Stickā¦ So far!
This is a known issue that is Roku induced when they started pushing out version 14. The folks at Tablo are working to solve it. I donāt know if it is possible to roll your Roku back to version 13.XX.

Just tried the Dolby setting change. Now, the live tv and recordings will play againā¦ but with no sound. Any way to fix that??
Yeah, Iām having the same problem on my Roku Express 4K+. Everything works fine until I try to play a recording or live show. Immediately goes back to the menu. Canāt watch anything on my Roku.
No problems at all watching on my phoneās Tablo app.
Mighty glad I have a backup DVR: AirTV Anywhere. Its app runs just fine on the same Roku 14. I record everything on both DVRs in case thereās an issue on one.
DAMN! Roku finally got me, too. One of my devices got upgraded to version 14 and my Tablo wonāt work on that one. So far my others seem to be okayā¦ and I do have a couple of older spares. Hoping I can swap them out and stay ahead of it until the Tablo update that fixes this.
The one that updated and is no longer playing nice with the Tablo is a Model 3941X2 - Roku Express 4K+.
