Resolving Tablo Server Outages - July 27 & 28, 2025

As a new Tablo user, that’s very discouraging.

@TabloTV has Tablo even been working on what was advised almost a year ago as a ‘Top Priority’?

This was posted three hours ago any current updates? I mean it’s Sunday, people like to watch their TVs on Sunday. It’s the worst day for this to happen.

We’re able to watch our Gen4 and OG Tablos on our Fire Stick and Gen4 on phone. The only thing still not working for us is the OG Tablo in browser, phone, and Tablo Ripper (OG-only).

Lucky you, my Tablo 4 gen is down on all my devices, including Fire TV and Apple TV

Are there different servers for different geographic locations and that accounts for some users having more problems than others?

Would love an update from Tablo since I still cannot connect

My Tablo still can’t connect. IMHO I should still be able to watch recorded programs since that is local storage. I just want to watch recorded programs or live TV in a different room.

Both legacy and gen 4 working fine for me. onn 4k pro.

I wasn’t using my Tablo but found this post so I checked them both out.

Still down in Minnesota. 4th gen. Nothing can connect. Blinking blue and white status lights on Tablo device.

Also, the fact that my Tablo OTA broadcast somehow relies on your servers needs to be remedied.

Need different techs that know what’s going on

Widest outage i can remember since first weekend of pro football in 2024.

Did that one affect both legacy and gen 4?

I don’t remember it affecting our OG Legacy device. It happened again in Jan 2025. Here was a response making the fix a top priority.

My blue light quit months ago so I don’t know. But my white light is flashing and I’m still down.

After that first NFL wknd, I just remember my gen 4’s got through the Superbowl OK and then have worked well since, except for a few failures to connect.

As I have said here often, I’ve learned to just find other amusement when such failures occur and when I come back later, the Tablo’s always work again as far as I can recall. So it pains me to read about other users going through various reboots and resets when IME those actions won’t make a difference.

In the beginning of my Tablo usage, in 2023 IIRC, I would do those reboots and such too, to no avail. Then one time I had a snootfulI and decided I’d come back the next day and whadayaknow it was working again, had fixed itself. That got me thinking.

Nowadays, when my Tablo’s can’t connect, I will sometimes out of curiosity reboot my router and come back in 10-15 min after everything has started up again. Sometimes that makes a difference, sometimes not. It may just be that it was a short outage and would have resolved anyway. It just is what it is.

It’s easy to reboot my network, even easier to just find other entertainment and check back later when Tablo will prob be working again.

I am sure it is frustrating for those experiencing the outage to read that some others users are sailing through it, in my case just with some goofy guide entries–which IMO does in fact demonstrate that there are server problems on the tablo side. I’m just lucky and have scooted through them, fingers crossed :slightly_smiling_face:

BTW I have in the last year upgraded my network to strong signal everywhere, and improved my antennas. And sometimes it still fails to connect. Let it be, return later.

Another thought: Tablo should update their device status light description page to include that (on 4th Gen) an alternating blue/white status light indicates a problem with THEIR server. It would have saved me 3 phone calls with your techs and multiple reboots of my router and the Tablo device.

Any update for estimated time things will be back up? Still a flashing white light at 4:57 PST. Spent an hour before I stumbled across this thread.

I agree Tablo…what’s going on? You need to give more updates or are we supposed to stare at the blinking light for days and weeks to come.

Still not working here – still flashing blue and white lights. My network’s good, internet is good, my other gateway works fine – just not my Tablo. And to think, just a few days ago I said my Tablo was my go-to OTA DVR.
