Thanks. I will
Yippee-ti-yi-yo!!! I am a new Tablo person and tried setting up yesterday and today. Got an email from Tablo saying it was fixed! Tried it but still not working. Reset unit and still not working. Deleted the app and reinstalled and whamo! It is working as promised! Set up a couple DVR on live TV for later and one for now. Looks like it is as promised. I’ll post one more update tomorrow to let you know all is well!!! Thanks for putting up with me these last couple days. The help desk helps and even does follow-up so cheers to Tablo!!!
Thank you to everyone who worked on restoring function and keeping users up to date on progress on this issue.
The service is up but the “workaround” results in many schedule gaps (missing programs in schedule which won’t be recorded).
Will this be resolved via the workaround or do we need to wait for the final fix?
My 4th generation has solid blue light no white flashing. It’s recording since 7 pm. When I turned on tablo on tv it say update, but describes the issues before the work around. Didn’t want the update to delete recordings in progress as it warned could happen. It’s connected via ethernet cable. I wonder if update was already done. Will activate the update later tonight.
Things changed. Now the phone app can not detect the tablo on my network..Have reset tablo multiple times re-installed app several times. Changed lan ports on router. Tablo has solid blue light and am able to login to app. Also am able to ping tablo from my pc
uh oh. my tablo was flashing white yesterday (or maybe it was Saturday?). I rebooted it several times. Eventually i held the reset button. Now it does not display ANY lights. Unit appears dead. What now?
First off, thanks for that! I am very glad to hear this! ![]()
I am curious, though. Considering that both the Tablo and the streaming device are both on the same local network, why is a connection to a server on the Internet needed to stream live television or recordings?
I worry about this for 2 reasons:
- The issue we are seeing right now with people unable to use their device while the server is down or having issues.
- If for whatever reason Tablo shuts down sometime in future, this would render everybody’s DVR useless.
If you hold the Reset button in too long, it restores the Tablo to Factory Reset. All recordings and settings are deleted and it has to be set up as new again.
I have been informed that the gaps in the Guide are due to the different sources of the information not updating as fast as the others. SUPPOSEDLY these missing ones only update once overnight, each day. We’ll see.
Same here. No lights at all. It actually worked briefly with no lights..but now nothing. I did not do a factory reset since I’m trying to avoid that. Waiting on word from Tablo on what to do next..if the unit is dead or if there is hope.
I also see the schedule gaps and not able to records those shows
From a new Tablo user since 7/27…Yes, when the SHTF day… Took awhile but up and running yesterday afternoon. Just a follow-up note this morning. Was up at 4 am today so played around with Tablo to see all its capabilities. It is everything they promised. Recorded and played them. After using the Roku remote for awhile I think I now know how to navigate. I might just be lucky but this thing is awesome so far!!
Tuesday, 7/29 Central Virginia, still the same gaps in the guide after a refresh of theGuide, so no change from yesterday. This is very frustrating.
Schedule gaps here as well … please fix asap.
I have gaps in mine as well, but only for NBC, CBS and ABC. But when I scroll in the guide a couple hours into the future there are no more gaps. Have you checked that?
Highlighting the channel/network on the far left of the guide launches the channel.
I deleted the app and reinstall and now I am back up
After server outage, my guide has several time slots on various networks that says programming not available. A reboot of Tablo did not help
Either manually run a Guide update “Update Guide Now” or wait for the overnight Guide update. It should resolve by tomorrow. You might also want to clear your streaming device or TV cache.
Manual update of guide did not help, nor did clearing Tablo cache
