I had 2 problems adding this. For some reason I could not just add it to my other 2 Tablo accounts, 1 black Tablo and 1 white Tablo, I had to create a 3rd 
to do it.
Also when I swapped the HD from the white 2 tuner to this, it did not ask me to format it and I ended up having to hook it to a computer to set it up. Then it asked me to format it.
Does the 4 Tuner model increase the amount of virtual tuners as well as the OTA tuners?
Kinda hoping to hear some great 4 tuner results ā my return window is quickly closing on my second 4th gen (2 tuner).
Anyone know if you can use the same technique used to move DVR recordings to a new Tablo to move them between a Legacy model and the 4th Gen model?
Getting ready to install my new 4th Gen model, and want to know if I should try this, or if itāll just cause the disk to get formatted or something else bad :-).
Yes, even zip codes have problems. 78758 says GRIT but on Legacy says ABC which is KVUE. Fixed by changing zip code to 78744 for 24.1
When I did it, it saved the used space but none of the recordings were listed. No way to get the space back except to take it to a computer and reformat it. I think it could work eventually as the used space was there, just need show names.
Anybody else have an issue with BestBuy or the shipper loosing the Gen4 4-tuner.
It was supposed to arrive on 12/15. On 12/14 I got an email saying it was delayed no ETA.
They did place a pending charge on my credit card on 12/17 so that is maybe a good sign.

Primarily USPS, but have seen it with UPS as well.
I got an email saying a package arrived at a USPS location about 60 miles from my house. But I didnāt order anything. Looked up the tracking number on USPS.com and sure enough there it is. Figured it would arrive in a few days. After one week of no package I went to my local USPS office with the tracking number. The guy looked it up and yes it was a legit number and it should make it to my house eventually but there have been delays recently. Itās over a week and a half now and still no surprise Christmas gift in the mail. 
Wow they sold out already so hope people got theirs. I just went to get one for a gift and Bestbuys does not have any.
Also shipping must depend on where you live as mine was shipped FedX Nextday and I got it on the 15th. All my Bestbuy orders come FedX.
Hi folks - Best Buy is scanning the second batch of 4-Tuner 4th gen Tablo units they ordered from us into their warehouses. These are units to fulfill existing pre-orders and orders.
Anyone who has an order confirmation and still hasnāt received their Tablo should see updated info in the coming days as they get loaded into Best Buyās system.
As this second batch is already accounted for, the 4-tuner will be out-of-stock until early 2024.
Available on the Best Buy website today. Just ordered mine.
Wow. LOL. I can pick it up in-store on the 30th or have it at my house by tomorrow? CrAzY!
I see some are there now, I can get delivery tomorrow or pickup on the 28th here. I hope they are not selling others backorders and preorders to new people and it will delay other who already ordered getting theirs.
I ordered Dec 14, best buy website still says āwill ship by Dec 28ā.
Best Buy chat agent claims my order will āship by tomorrowā and ādonāt worryā about the website offering to sell and it arrive tomorrow to other people, dispite me explaining that the Manufacturer stated the second shipment was only going to cover remaining preorders.

About 2pm EST i received an email from Best Buy āYour order will be shipped soonā
Checking BB website, status is now āWeāll ship it by Dec 28ā with a UPS tracking number.
UPS tracking system doesnāt have record of it yet, so it appears its awaiting the initial UPS pickup scan.
Also, if a new order is placed right now, BB says get it by Dec 26.

Ordered mine yesterday. Delivered today.
I ordered on Dec 11 and Iām still waitingā¦no idea whatās going on. Youād think people who pre-ordered would get theirs first.
Iād order a second one, screw up the supply chain, then tick off Best Buy when you return or cancel the first one.
But Iām impatient and Iām sorry this has been such a hassle for so many of you guys. Guess Iāll stuck with two half-functioning 2-tuners instead.
Surprised, I ordered my 4 tuner preorder on 12/14 and didnāt expect it till after Christmas but got my Best Buy notification to pickup and got it on the 18th.
Iāve had my Tablo 4 tuner for about a week now and tested without an external hdd for about 3 days and then reset back to factory defaults and hooked up a 2TB external drive and so far have only had a few minor issues which Iāve passed onto support. Have done over 25+ recordings and successfully tried recording 7 shows at the same time (3 OTA and 4 streaming) and all completed successfully while using the 4th tuner to watch another OTA channel while the recordings were occurring. Some issues that were happening on the 2 tuner are still a problem but the 4 tuner definitely seems to work better so far and those are probably fixes that need to be done on the iOS and 4K fireTV apps.

Great to hear itās up and running and working very well. Iād love to hear what some of its quirks are.
Sounds like the extra tuners might help with some of the multitasking that seems to kick my 2-tunerās butt. I didnāt think a factory reset was needed to install the external drive for the 2-tuner, but maybe itās needed on the 4? Either way, it sounds like it might have taken some of the headache out of installation! (And so many people seem to be needing a reset while doing their first setup anywayā¦)
Thanks for keeping us updated. Keep playing around and sharing the ups and downs. Sounds like a single 4-tuner might be worth the price. (I can always let the neighbor kids play ice hockey with this one if I upgradeā¦)
