Hey folks,The Fire TV app is indeed live! We're just waiting on a more 'formal' announcement until the new firmware and Roku channel are published. Feel free to leave any comments and feedback in this thread, we'll be checking in :)
About when will roku be live.
Only other issue I see so far using it for the last few hours is slight pausing every few seconds on CBS during live TV. I don't see that behavior on the ROKU app. I'm rebooting the Amazon Fire TV now.I can confirm this mini-pauses behavior for Live TV, it doesn’t happen with watching recorded shows. I have rebooted and both my Tablo and FTV are using wired ethernet.
I have seen this mini-pauses behavior with the Beta FTV app when watching recorded shows but I guess they fixed the problem with recorded shows. I didn’t notice the mini-pauses for Live TV on the Beta but it’s probably because I wasn’t watching Live TV a lot.
O ! one other thing that the Beta did better is when you set the default screen to start-up on Recording, it actually do that every time, but this Released FTV app version goes to Live TV every time even if you set the start-up screen to Recording.
Going back to the sideloaded Web App now, can’t watch Live TV with mini-pauses every 20 seconds
I would not run the Sideloaded Android web app and the Official Fire TV app side by side on the same Fire TV. They use different Tablo Video Players and could be causing problems.

@theuser86 I have only ONE Tablo App installed on my FTV at any given time and every time I switched app from Web to FTV or FTV to Beta, I did a full uninstall (even the video player) and reboot so there is no issues of contamination.
If Live TV works perfectly for you, then you are the lucky one. What FTV firmware are you running ?
New Fire TV Stick app works great. After first install I had to reboot the Stick to get the app to load.I can confirm Tablo Connect aka remote viewing works on the Fire TV once the device has been paired on your local network.
I miss the thumbnail preview on FF of the Roku though.
Thanks @TabloTV @TabloSupport
@TabloTV Are the thumbnail previews only missing from the Fire TV Stick? Or from the regular Fire TV app also? I’ve gotten quite fond of those on my Roku, but I’m wanting to move to Fire TV. If there’s no thumbnails, I’ll have to wait for an update to the app. ![]()
Thumbnails are missing for both FireTv products. Tablo has apps for a product line (FireTv, Roku), not for a particular product.

Roku makes it easy to include thumbnails and closed captions. Both of which are missing on FireTV but I expect will be added in the future. (Remember Roku was purpose-built for video streaming while Android/FireOS is a more general-purpose environment.)
Netflix does
Humm…the mini-pauses on Live TV doesn’t happen on all channels and it doesn’t happen all the time on the same problem channel…puzzling…well, I think I will leave it alone and see if more people are seeing this problemOnly other issue I see so far using it for the last few hours is slight pausing every few seconds on CBS during live TV. For the Roku update, will we need to simply check for a software update, or delete and reinstall the Tablo app?

There is no reason to assume it will be any different than before, which is to just look for a software update on the Roku.
Some people have expressed concern over the “new” look. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s another app provided (“Tablo Test”), just like Plex.
What do I know. Just stuck in a boring meeting trying to pass the time.
To answer my own question about the Android TV Tablo TV app, the app was updated in Google Play on April 1st and it listed support for Android TV in the change log. Apparently Tablo TV has been available for the last 5 or 6 days on Android TV.
Just a FYI, after first install of the released version I tried live TV and the Tablo error came up saying no tuners were available then it rebooted itself right away. After coming back it seems to be working. Just a FYI @TabloSupport
I was not able to get the mini-pauses behavior for Live TV to go away by changing my wireless setup at all. Good to know I’m not the only one, but I’d love to find a fix.
No new Roku app today? C’mon, Nuvyyo!!
I was not able to get the mini-pauses behavior for Live TV to go away
So for giggle and still having the mini-pauses issues for Live TV with the released FTV app, I uninstalled the video player 1.6.2.0 then installed the video player from the Android Phone app version 1.5.0.26. Then magically, NO MORE mini-pauses for Live TV…so far
mini-pauses would shows up within 2 minutes for video player 1.6.2.0. I tested video player 1.5.0.26 on a few channels for over 3 minutes each and could not detect any mini-pauses…let’s see how long this solution last.
If you have a Tablo subscription or are signed up for our newsletter you will receive an email. You will need to add the Roku channel via your Roku account (don't worry, we'll give instructions for this). You will need to reboot and yes it will require new firmware.
Waiting patiently for an email.

Please just let us know that we are not getting the Roku upgrade today...
Everything looks great. I do not use live tv that much.
