Continuing the discussion from New Generation 4 Tablo:

Good morning , does anyone know if you can travel with the 4th Gen Tablo and use it to record at vacation spots ? Thank you

I don’t think it is geolocked. You obviously would need to change your Zip code and rescan.

Hi @JoeCool

As long as you have an internet, Wi-Fi and compatible viewing devices you should be good.

You’ll want to be sure to tweak your zip code in your location settings every time you start watching in a different place.

Have you changed the steps needed to connect to a different wireless network?

Not for the last three months and that’s a very good point.

@JoeCool if you’ll need to switch your wireless router, here’s how to do so: How To Change or Edit Your 4th Generation Tablo’s Wi-Fi Network – Tablo (tablotv.com)

However, you will need an iOS device.

If you don’t have an Apple device, you could get a WiFi to Ethernet adapter, so the Tablo would never notice anything other than maybe a new IP address.

If it’s already configured for WiFi, I am guessing Ethernet would override that.

This is just a random one I found on Amazon.

Thank you to everyone who responded.( Tablo , 269587, Andyross) I will be in the Fl Keys for Thanksgiving and wanted to be able to record the football games while there. And your answers have reassured me that I will be able to do so. Thanks again
