Tablo Tools - Bulk Export/Delete on Win/Mac/Linux

v0.1.5 is out. It fixes the stupid problem with exports overwriting each and movies not going in the correct place. A happy side-effect was that fixing that fixed code to allow simultaneous exports. YMMV.

As I was putting out v0.1.5 just now I saw this and put in a quick-fix to just ignore those for now so that things work. I might have known you could do that, but definitely never had. I’ll figure out how to support them correctly in a later release.

The export stuff is fixed in v0.1.5 that I just put out. I’ll get back with you on your data a bit later (that fix took longer than I expected).

I only happened to be doing a manual recording to specifically test something, I don’t generally do manual recordings either but I thought I’d throw it out there so it’s on the radar.

I can confirm 0.1.5 ignores manual recordings and everything else is displayed correctly in both Shows and Search.

All seems to be working perfectly in 0.1.5! The program loaded 6,510 recordings from scratch in 4 minutes.

Exporting is now working correctly. It is taking a while to convert - about 75MB-100MB a minute, on the order of 12 minutes for an hour’s recording at 3 Mbps/720. Not sure that has anything to do with the program one way or another.

Very, very nice. Thanks for the creativity and hard work, and being responsive to reports.

Great news. Time wise, that’s the same loading performance I get locally (over wifi) when accounting for it actually having to pull/check approx. double the amount on your device. That’s probably going to be the fastest I’ll get it.

I have not dug into optimizing the export processing yet, but that sounds about what I’d expect. I’ll definitely make notes in the release notes if something significant there happens.

I put out v0.1.7-beta.1 just a bit ago and it adds support for multiple Tablos. It’d be great if you could give it a shot before make a full release. Doing that also brought:

The ui is synced much better like it should be
More server info
Override IP option is changed to Test Device (you’ll see)

I tested v0.1.7-beta.1 on both Windows and Linux and both have the same issue where I only get a blank white screen with the menu bar. I reverted both back to v0.1.6 and that works fine on both platforms.
I only have one Tablo, perhaps it is trying to find a second Tablo?

Same issue here with 0.1.7-beta.1 and I have only 1 Tablo as well. All I get is the menu bar and a white screen…

0.1.7-beta.2 does indeed fix the white screen issue. A quick regression test doesn’t doesn’t show any other issues. The new version pop-up is a nice addition.

Whee, v0.1.7 is out.

Multi device seems to be working (thanks, folk) and I added an automatic error reporting option so no one has to track down error messages in the dev tools.

If you want… get a current version, go to the bottom of Settings, and eventually hit Upload in the Submit Device Data section. That’ll let me play with your data and see if I can speed it up any.

I have the same issue with v0.1.7 that I had with v0.1.7-beta.1 where I only get a blank white screen with the menu bar.

Ugh. I found and fixed it - v0.0.8 is available. The silver lining is that the error reporting I added sent me everything I needed to do that. Thanks for taking one for the team?

I just installed v0.1.8 (skipped v0.1.7 as I didn’t see that it was available until I think you had already taken it down) and it appears to still have the blank white screen issue.

I see it try to load and a pop-up briefly flashes that has some red text and then it goes to the white screen.

v0.1.9 should be clean. I believe I’ve actually tested everything correctly this time.

Just a benign comment, I presume this info is from server/info as it returns “wifi”: true

It’s informational that my tablo has wifi capabilities, as all do - but mine isn’t in use.

Not that I watch shows via tablo-tools. When viewing individual recordings (long list) I have the option to Play Video. When I click on then a “show” to list episodes… I don’t get an opportunity to Play Video.

Again, it’s not something I’m asking for, just wondering about the inconsistency by design?
