FYI there is a usability issue now that wasn’t there before. Often, but not always when watching a recording from your Library, when you click the back button to return to the library it often goes to the first recording in the Library instead of the recording you were just watching.

My wife already accidentally deleted the wrong recording because she pressed the back button and then deleted the recording thinking it was the one she was just watching.

The back button should bring you to your current recording and not to the top of Library.

I second your suggestion. I, too, recently posted this request for the same reason, that this bug makes it far too easy to select-delete the wrong recording after viewing a show.

Ha ha. I second your suggestion. I just deleted the wrong recording last night for the very same reason you guys were talking about. It should be a minor problem for Tablo. Fingers crossed.

Using Tablo on my Roku is so very frustrating and slow.

1. Slow and random responses to pressing… FF, Play, Pause, REW
2. Trying to move to the earliest recorded episode is terrible. It randomly and slow moves and then reverts back to the beginning of the episodes. I have to spend too much time trying to get to the episode I want to play. It’s out of order and just mind boggling how bad this implementation is.
3. Trying to Delete and episode I watched is frustrating as the slowness and lag and then reverting to the beginning of the list. I don’t want to delete the wrong episode as there is no way to recover deleted recordings.

Developers… Do you use Tablo??? You can’t possibly use it!! Otherwise you would never have released this .0001 beta. Garbage!

Ya, the UI/UX has a lot to be desired. I’ve asked the very same question in the past whether or not they use their own product, but I guess not seeing how they’re in Canada and the product doesn’t work there. Although, Scripps Corporate is in Cincinnati, OH.

I believe they’re considering a Recycle Bin or method to undelete.

I’m sure you’ve seen that it’s getting better - it just takes time.

When you go to watch a recorded show, do you sort by Recently Recorded or All?
I sort by All and it shows them separated by season from first to last, so at least you can move to the season you want then scroll over to the episode.

I go to All. A show like Court TV Live is one long list. A single season. The episodes are an hour long which is a PITA in itself. Trying to get back to the earliest episode each time I delete one watched is ridiculous. I have to mash the remote many many many many times as it keeps resetting the list. And additionally it’s completely out of order so I have to watch what I am doing to get to the episode I want. Such a waist of time.

They should add a play next episode. They are all marked… E1, E2, E3… and so on… Just play the next oldest episode.

I am sure in 2010 they will add this!

Try setting it to Season. It should sort them from lowest episode to highest
