Good to hear. I upgraded a few of my Roku boxes to the newer release. That went ok.

When I then updated the Roku O/S (rather check for updates) it put Tablo back to 0.9 so maybe something about a registry in Rokuland is thinking 0.9 is the latest release…

I was able to flip Tablo back to 1.0 but I wonder what will happen when Roku does its daily check for updates.

I like that I can still scan for movies on local stations. Also the layout of the upcoming movies is easier to read.

I see tiles using right arrow.

To move fast use fast forward button, rather than right arrow.
Second tap is double speed.
Third tap is triple speed forward.

I appreciate the effort put in to make the improvements. :+1:

I stumbled upon this accidentally. But I was blown away by the new UI. Happy with the new update.

I find it to be snappy (quick navigation and tuning).
I REALLY like the down arrow for switching between two or several shows.

Before this the Sports menu ā€œall sportsā€ contained the same list as on the legacy. Now All Sports has half the sports and it doesn’t even have the masters. But I will admit it’s just as screwed up as the all sports on the fire tv stck app.

Here we go again. Two new updates and a new round of bugs. Talk about a double wammy!

I know it is frustrating but how about some more information please. Roku unit and what is screwed up.

Oh and hi :grinning:

I have a 4th gen 2-tuner. It was working for well over a year until today when I noticed the layout was different. Next thing I see is an eternal ā€œconnecting to your tabloā€. I tried cycling power on the tablo, on my roku and on my cable box & wifi. I reset the tablo but no change. It is doing the same thing on my other tv with a different roku. Tried a brand new roku as well. I removed the app and reinstalled it…same thing. The odd thing is that I can access everything from my phone app. Vizio tvs and Samsung Galaxy S10e phone. So I missed the basketball final tonight. I’ll have to just watch highlights on YouTube.

Wow! My Tablo updated and my Roku did a few days ago and it all worked. I will be keeping my fingers crossed a d pray your situation gets sorted out.

Thanks. I’m throwing in the towel for today. Will try again tomorrow.

The grid lines in the guide are gone in some places and exist in others. The inconsistency is visually annoying and distracting.

Upgraded without issue and performance seems really snappy!

Only issue I have found so far is the guide grid line issue I reported above, but very glad to see the hazy line at the bottom of the guide is now gone.

Mine updated yesterday and I am FAR FROM IMPRESSED. I can get used to the new interface although the previous worked easier for me. The big problem is in the fast forward/reverse of recorded material. That used to show a series of snapshots during fast forward that made it easy to stop at the desired point. Now you just get a single snapshot of the next stopping point so that it is nearly impossible to react in time to stop at the correct point. In addition, the fast forward/reverse and step back, and also navigation through listed episodes in the DVD, is slow to respond so that it jumps through three or four at a time.

upgraded my 6 devices… and all is good so far. Looks great!

All my Roku devices updated to the new Tablo version yesterday and a couple things. First, I agree with @DavidE that the FF/RW during a show is not as nice with just the one single snapshot. I liked the other way better. Second, on one of my Roku Ultras (the 4660X) I just get the Connecting to Tablo screen forever. The other two devices I’ve tested (Ultra 4850X and Soundbar) work. It was working before the update however, it might not be the update’s fault because now on that same device the legacy Tablo app can’t find the Quad Legacy Tablo either. I’ve tried restarting each (device and tablo(s)) and still nothing. I’ll keep trying and maybe the upcoming Roku 14.5 update will fix it.

I haven’t had this problem since the update, but in the past when I have had persistent connection problems, I would open the phone app concurrently while looking at the TV, and it would usually connect. The overall problem would clear after a day or two.
