Tablo Connect port mapping

@theuser86 No reason - just haven’t had the chance to implement this across all of the clients just yet. The web app doesn’t allow the port mappings to be changed from the UI just yet.

Why does my Tablo Connect port mapping resets to 2100X values even after I change it to 3188X values using an iPad? My router only supports 3188X values. When I check the settings page it always shows 2100X values and says Your router requires manual configuration. Please fix this message.

Just to be clear, even with the error message I’m able to remotely connect to my Tablo using 3188X ports.

@rameshts Did you assign the Tablo a static IP? If it’s being cycled, the rules could get invalided and change, generating this kind of message.

No, it’s assigned a dynamic IP address. I don’t recycle the Tablo, haven’t recycled other than firmware updates. After I assign 3188X values in iPad and get all green check marks, I go back to the settings page in 5 minutes - it’s gone and back to 2100X values! If I connect to Chrome in PC the 3188X settings are gone immediately!

It looks like a display issue in the settings page because my phone on cellular network could still connect to the Tablo on 3188X ports while all of this happening!

@lbarouf

I have looked at port fwding tutorial but I need help with this
My router asks for…
Service name…tablo
Port range
Local ip
Local port
Protocol…tcp…etc
Then add delete… from my screenshot other than I know my routers IP and the Tablo static ip what do I put in those blocks?

Please post a screenshot of the router config page.

Make sure you’re using port forwarding, not port triggering.

@theuser86 thx a bunch for helping me

Set the port range to the public port, and the local port as the private port.

You’ll need 2 individual entries on that list.

Your 210718 to 8887 doesn’t seem right though - it is usually only 5 digits for the public port.

@theuser86
I must be doing something wrong, from my screen shot please tell me which numbers to put in which blocks and forgive my ignorance
Displayed correctly today the numbers you were talking about.

Try the following:

Service Name: Tablo1
Port Range: 21071:21071
Local IP: Select the IP address of your Tablo DVR
Local Port: 8887
Protocol: TCP

Add a new row

Service Name: Tablo2
Port Range: 21070:21070
Local IP: Select the IP address of your Tablo DVR
Local Port: 80
Protocol: TCP

OK, I get (sortof) what is going on here. But I have no idea what to put as my public ports.
Here is a screenshot of my router config screen…

I truly have no idea what is going on here. I am unsure what needs to be in the Public Port fields on the Tablo settings, or what needs to be placed in the Global Port range on the router settings.

Any help would be appreciated!

@kitbaty If you haven’t already, send a note over to the support gurus. They can give you a hand with this: https://www.tablotv.com/ask-tablo/

I have sent an email to support@tablotv.com - but not through the ticketing system. I will do that today once I get home. Thanks!

@kitbaty Just as long as you didn’t have a typo in the email address that email will create a ticket for you. You should have received a confirmation email from us.

I did indeed. So, I will just wait on a reply from Support!
Thanks again!

No problemo! They’ll be in touch today.
