I just thought I would update this once again, I received the newest Roku update hoping that this might cure the problems with my Roku players, but they still crash while trying to watch live TV. This is nothing new been having this problem since November. The only reply I get now from tech support we apricate your patience.
My question to this group now, are you guys also reporting this to Tablo and making a ticket on the problem you are having?
Here are my observations using a 2018/2019 roku ultra(4660)(build 12.5.5 4174-46) and 5 ghz wifi and Live TV via Live grid and channel number. I am not using any fancy WiFi router straight 802.11n - no mesh, extenders, or access points. playing a 720p OTA station
If you play live tv for 45 minutes the following will happen;
mine plays perfectly
when you use the return button to exit the video play. The grid may or may not be populated with info. Regardless you canât use the channel number to start live tv again.
the library, shows, movies, sports menus are unpopulated and spinning to reload.
the home menu is populated - but you canât click on any thumbnails because the underlying data doesnât seem to be available
but you can exit the app and restart and everything seems to work again
My 2015 roku 2(4210) using ethernet also on 12.5.5 doesnât seem to have this problem
I am glad yours is working fine for you. However, in my case the issue continues, and I had this same problem for a few months now. But according to another thread here there is hope for the Roku devices that a still having this issue I have my fingers crossed that it will come soon, and I am still hoping for a Samsung app,
