I’m sorry, but I see very little difference between the two pictures. Certainly not enough difference to be so excited about the 4k upscaling.
I have to agree with @andyross that this whole thread appears to be an add for nVidia.

Using my Radeon with ultra mega super AI upscaling, if you look at the zoomed in result from just the football being held, you can see the amazing AI generated results. It’s a whole new world.

I have an HDMI Tablo, and that is pure MPEG2. But, many, if not most, OTA is getting very compressed as they cram in more and more subchannels. I often find next-day shows on Hulu, Peacock can look noticeably better. I can see on the hard drive activity a noticeable difference between WBBM (Chicago CBS, with the highest bitrate) and most every other station. It’s also noticeable when you check free space before and after deleting a show.

The top video photo is from the Tablo 4th Gen, it has been upscaled but the bottom has not been upscale, it’s full 1080i/1080p.
I can see a big difference between the two video photos. Look at the two ladies’ faces on the right side of the TV screen. Now the bottom row of Eddie Murphy’s face, it’s much clearer on the top video photo …!
Now that’s what I’m talking about, both video photos look awesome. Yes, you are one billion % correct, AI Artificial Intelligence 4K upscaling technology has generated a whole new world. The bottom video photo in your post reminds me of the video photo below here …!

Notice the Tablo 4th Gen Live TV Guide {Video Photo Below} is being broadcast in HD, yet it’s being 4K upscaled via my home network 4K upscaling set up. Actually, I’m using a $20.00 Walmart Onn 4K TV box, which is already ATSC 3.0 NextGen Certified {SEE DEVICE LIST BELOW}.
Also, notice the Shield TV Pro is not even being used. They are more than one way to skin a cat. Praying the NEW coming Tablo ATSC 3.0 NextGen DVR/Streaming TV Player will be added to the device list very soon …!

The bottom upscale video photo was taken from my TCL Roku TV with onboard built-in 1080i/1080p 4K upscaling, via the Tablo app before the new firmware update. Notice the TOP 1080i/1080 video photo upscaled by the Shield TV Pro, versus the bottom 4K upscale video photo from my TCL Roku TV, which has all the whistles and bells.
As you can see the TOP 4K upscaled video photo from the Shield TV Pro, via Al artificial intelligence upscaling technology is a much higher video resolution quality …! Again the bottom video photo is from my TCL Roku TV.
