Roku playback problems

ROKU PROBLEM. Just started today. When trying to access All recordings on my legacy quad Tablo I get booted back to Roku menu. No problem on my Sony tv Tablo app or my I pad. Have 2 Roku express units and 2 Sharp tv with built in Roku.

Are all Roku devices having the same issue?

Do you have any manually scheduled recordings set up? And did such a scheduled recording happen since the last time you accessed recordings on your Roku?

If so, go into Recordings on your iPad and look at the recordings carefully. You may have to delete a manually scheduled recording, especially if it says it was recorded 2 weeks in the future.

No manual recordings causing a problem

You didn’t say if this was legacy app or gen 4 app. Or if it immediately exits or exits it after using it awhile.

Legacy quad tablo. It immediately exits when when you go ALL RECORDINGS. You can VERY quickly change to TV Programs and it will stay on pageand is useable. Tried troubleshooting with tablo technical with no success. Re loaded apps, unpluged tabo then powered it back up. Unpluged hard drive-2 tb then pluged it back in and no success. Maybe something with the latest updates. Who knows.

Have you tried the gen 4 roku app? Too many recordings? Did you recently get an update to roku OS 15.2.4. Roku OS 15.2.4 vs 15.1.4 has been causing my legacy app to exit like it did when Roku OS 14.0 was released.

I had this situation where “Recordings” caused Tablo to immediately exit and traced it to a funky manual recording.

Please go into your iPad app which allows you to review all the recordings, and look for any recordings that show they were recorded in the future. If you find any, delete them and then try the Roku app again and see if you can get into Recordings.

Let me know if you find any funky future-dated recordings. I am working on a theory that the problem happens when the guide data updates itself and returns less data than a previous update, screwing up any future scheduled recordings that were based upon the now missing guide data.

Deleted recordings but no improvement

Roku? Tablo app on Roku? What version of Tablo are you using? Legacy app? Legacy Tablo with 4th Gen app? If you updated Tablo to Gen4 with your phone, how does that react?

Looks like I already updated to legacy 4 th generation.

So Tablo version 2.2.60? So the have you installed Tablo on your android or IOS phone? if so you can access your Tablo with either of these apps and does the problem persist on the phone?
