Resolving Tablo Server Outages - July 27 & 28, 2025

At 1:31 PM today looks good. Everything seems to work as before, with no holes, and I’m able to record on my favorite channels again. I do have a question. I only have one 4th gen unit and several different TV’s. When you update the guide from anyone of the connected devices is this update on the Tablo and the other devices will follow? Also, when clearing cache, do you need to do this to every device?

My guide was updated at around 3:30am this morning. Shows I have scheduled on both PBS and ABC now seem fine, but still can’t get anything on CBS to schedule or record. I hope that will be fixed soon since it’s the station I watch the most shows on.

Interesting. If I search NFL, it finds three upcoming games. I am able to record individual games, but I cannot record all games (series recording)

I can now, as well seeing games for the next two weeks. Though if I wanted to record all NFL games as a series, I am unable to.

How about today’s NFL game
seeing as NFL is a past nemesis of Tablo

No games in my area since they are all on NFL Network and the Seahawks already played this week.

NY here-Apple TV schedule seems to have filled up, but as someone else mentioned, I’m unable to record CBS…a message suggested I update my guide which I’m doing right now.

Fire TV can’t record CBS, same error as Apple, differently worded error message, however “failed to schedule”

Updating guide doesn’t correct the problem on either platform

On the ipad app, found today’s game in the grid. Under “Record Events in this Series” clicked “All”. Got error message “Failed to load. The requested content was not found.” Clicked on “Event Information”. Clicked on each game in the list and then clicked “Record Event”. Now in the Library five games show up under “Coming Soon” but not under “Scheduled”.

Tablo support … CBS recording is a widely reported problem, which isn’t resolved with a refresh. Can we expect a fix for this before the end of weekend?

I just went to one of my local CBS channels and selected both individual and series recording on several different programs. Evening news and sports programs. No problems, no error messages. Is there some other way I should test it?

I did this through the live grid as that is the only way I’ve ever done it. Yeah I know there’s other ways to do this but I prefer the live grid.

For the first time in two weeks it looks like I can record again. I spent 10-15 minutes poking around trying to find an Airings to try to record, but did not find a single one. The few shows I tried to set times for worked as expected.

The Guide appears to be fully populated here in Oregon.

The only thing that still may not be working properly is Tablo shifting channel assignments.

Last night I set up an all episodes for the PBS News Hour on 10.2 at 4 pm while the app was still throwing failed to load errors.

Today that perpetual timer showed up for 10.1 at 7pm.

I deleted it and set u a new one for 10.2 and Coming Soon now shows 10.2 set for the next two weeks of weekdays.

I’ll check for a couple of days to see if/when the furthest date resets to 10.1. This has been an ongoing issue possibly since the beta test.

Why not try what other people have had problems with - News.

Try going to the guide(News/CBS/60 minutes) and record new. It lets you but nothing shows up in the library for 60 minutes.

Examples

CBS - 8.1 - CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes
ABC - 10.1 - ABC World News Tonight
NBC - 391. - NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas

This may be regional; CBS: 2.1 East Coast (NY area)

This is just a data point. I was able to schedule the recording for the same WNBA game that you attempted.

I set the recording on my iPhone.

I’m not trying to dismiss your error. I’m just saying that the problem doesn’t appear to be universal unlike the problems everyone saw earlier this week.

I’m in a different part of the country (Idaho) so, as dnadle mentioned, this could be a regional problem.

Thanks, I also tried the same WNBA recording on my iPad, received the same error message.

I’m still unable to record on CBS, whether from the live grid on the Android app or in the Fire TV Tablo app. Glad it works for you and I hope it will be resolved for the rest of us (who have confirmed the same issue with CBS) soon.

I’m sorry you’re still dealing with this. For me, I was able to set both the evening news and the WNBA game. However, I only see the orange underline for the evening news. Tablo tells me the WNBA game is being recorded, but it doesn’t show the orange underline in the guide.

Examples:
Of course for me they are different channel numbers.

CBS - 8.1 - CBS Evening News, 60 Minutes - Selected to record All 60 Minutes and it worked fine and showed up in “Coming soon” and “All” both Scheduled and Upcoming Airings instantly. Same with CBS Evening News. Seems to work perfectly.
ABC - 10.1 - ABC World News Tonight - Same here worked fine.
NBC - 391. - NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas - This would not record. Seems any national news will not record. All local news setup just fine.

I’ve never hung out in these features before Shows, Movies, News and Sports. While in the news category it not only showed news programs but seems to show everything else. Some sitcoms, soap operas, game shows and more. Has it always been like this?

Are you saying that for the last 10 years when scheduling recordings on legacy you never used the TV Shows, Movies, Sports menus. The gen 4 should work just like legacy.

With the Roku 0.9 app it looked pretty much like legacy. Then with recent Roku v1 update the content on roku diminished. But it did match the fire tv stick version that introduced “news”.
