Resolving Tablo Server Outages - July 27 & 28, 2025

I’d assume the Tablo Home Dashboard wouldn’t function properly If there wasn’t an internet connection. Maybe have a warning of “offline mode” with a description and it pops you to live tv.

The intent is not to put them at out of business … but if they’re unable to restore basic functionality for a unit that they’re actively promoting, they should stop promoting it, as their advertising clearly misrepresents the product.

As to hoping that more people will buy the product so they can afford to fix it, why would anyone buy a product that doesn’t work as advertised.

It would be in everyone’s best interest for Tablo to fix the product and grow their customer base.

Thanks for confirming. Only problem with that approach is that you don’t get all of the game if it runs over 3 hours. Not likely in preseason, but certainly can happen in regular season. I tried selecting “Sports” then “football” then “NFL” and the channel I wanted and it showed the next game I want to record and allowed me to schedule it without an error message. It shows up in my list of scheduled recordings. Whether it actually records, however, will be the test.

There seems to be some progress since last night, when Tablo failed to record several programs on CBS and PBS. Since this morning the PBS programs have appeared in the “Coming Soon” and one has already recorded, but CBS Evening News bring up the “Error Loading Airing Details” message, while CBS Saturday Morning allows me to click on “Record Episode” on the Android app but it doesn’t do anything, while on the Fire TV app it says it failed to schedule the recording. I hope the issues for CBS and others can be resolved soon.

Things are looking better today. Guide appears healthy and fully built. Only thing I am seeing is “Coming Soon” still has most items showing as “Loading…”

UPDATE: It appears the items not loading are the “Ending 56yrs 4mnths ago” issue.

Encouraging!!! Some of my previously scheduled recordings are starting to fill my “coming soon” again. Yesterday coming soon was a bunch of blank rectangles. Still cannot schedule Judge Judy. But Peoples Court is back.

I guess today 8/7/2025 is one of those days where the user guide is not getting the information for several local TV channels.. It happens once in a while. I did clear cache, shut down all devices, rescan all channels, did update user tv guide, etc. but nothing.. Any of you having the same problems? Thanks, Nick

Ditto. Plus I deleted and reinsstalled the App. Still not working properly.

No other apps on any of my devices (I have 4) have these sorts of issues. This company is all about data mining and screw the customer. Well you know what, when the majority leave because of these ongoing issues, Tablo won’t have many users to mine.

Thanks for the feedback. if I plug an antenna directly to the tv, I can see all air channels fine. I wonder if the information isn’t capture correctly by the tablo device or something is messing it so we get tired and start paying for dvr cable service. My wife was happy about this Tablo TV but this problem started couple weeks ago and is getting worst. Oh well, we’ll keep troubleshooting…

Here is Tablo’s latest update.

still not resolved for me - I have updated my channel guide and cleared catch but still getting a message that says: Error opening show info - I cannot depend on Tablo to work when I need it to - this is the second live sporting event I am missing in as many weeks

Yes but has been happening for at least a week

I’ve been having this error for a few days now for ABC and NBC in the Denver area and can’t record programs for either network.

Still having the problem. Wish they would fix it faster.

In exploring this problem further, I find I get this error on all of my local channels, CBS, PBS, ABC, NBC and Fox. I seems to be only the nationally broadcast programs and then primarily the new ones. Reruns are mostly OK.
From another thread I found that one work around is to record the local program that is before the one you want to watch and then extend it.

Rich, that is a good idea.. some of my local channels with local transmitted shows are recording but the national shows don’t. I will do that. I was able to select the previous show and added 3 hours to see what happens next week. Thanks for your feedback.

I was having the problem tuning network shows on local channels (Loading airing details), and just now the Tablo rebooted itself and the problem was fixed. So it does appear they are rolling out a fix. Yay!
