Most of my listings were back this morning and they seem to be filling in. A listing had a gap, and then I checked it 30-60 min later and the gap had filled in. However, a lot of programs that were listed could not be recorded. On Roku Ultra, they just said ended 56 years ago and add channel to favorites. On Android said error loading guide data.
I will see what happens later today or tomorrow after the nightly refresh.
Same situation here with Roku Ultra and Android app.
I still have 7 channels with no programming available and 4 channels with no programming gaps. And yes, I did the updating and clearing steps - for the umpteenth time.
Frankly, I had more items filled out in my guide yesterday than I do today, so whatever is going on is not incrementally improving things. We can be as optimistic as we want, but the fact suggest that TabloTV probably doesn’t have control of what needs to be fixed and is probably relying on a third-party Vendor. But hey, that’s the way we live in the cloud these days.
So, it seems to be close on the resolution (if we don’t go backward). I see for TMZ, below for example, that the Guide and grid shows the information, but clicking on the show yields this…even though it shows correctly in the previous screen. This is occurring on several shows even though they’re showing correctly in the Guide grid.
Two or so sub-channels still showing a couple “Programming Not Available” entries, but not a whole lot of them.
Although most program slots are now filled in many cannot be recorded; This is the case for CBS … slots filled in but can’t record anything.
Request to all … when reporting on status please verify that the stations can be recorded, otherwise Tablo support may prematurely declare “victory” and move on.
The weirdness continues. I just checked the guide again and it is almost entirely filled in so I decided to try to record a couple of things. I tested CBS Fox and NBC and all of those programs accepted the record request.. I take back my earlier comments maybe Table actually has found the issue and is moving forward. Fingers crossed.
Still not working, I had a daily series to record on CBS and it recorded yesterday, but not today, yet my upcoming list shows a CBS program to be recorded tonight. I cleared cache and updated guide and no change.
Will we see any new statements from Tablo today?
We wanted to provide a quick update on the guide data issue. While we’re continuing to see signs of improvement across the system, we’re not yet in a position to confirm that the issue has been fully resolved. At this time, we’re still unable to commit to a firm timeline for full resolution.
That said, we’re encouraged by the progress and feel confident that things are moving in the right direction.
A note on troubleshooting steps:
We know we’ve shared these steps before, but once your channels have been fully processed, these actions help trigger a local refresh so the updates can be reflected properly in the app. The steps below can also help eliminate related issues that some users are experiencing, including errors when trying to schedule recordings or load airing details.
- Open the Tablo app, navigate to the Settings screen, and select Update Guide Now.
- On Android/Fire TV, you can also try clearing the app’s cache using these instructions.
Going forward:
We’re committed to providing updates as things progress, and once this issue is fully resolved, we’ll share more details on what went wrong, how it was fixed and what we’re doing to prevent it from happening again.
Thanks again for your continued patience. We’ll share more as soon as we have news.
No change at all for me. Pretty much any national show can’t be loaded while shows that are local (like the news) are fine.
One way I can tell things are getting better is if on Roku you check the guide(Shows) for the big 4 networks(ABC,CBS,NBC,FOX) the actual network provided shows are reappearing in the list.
For a few months they had been slowly disappearing and only appeared in the Live TV grid.
My take on it: It is not getting better, until it “is resolved”.
I don’t use tablo to watch linear TV. And I only want to have to use the guide(Shows, Movies, Sports) to schedule recordings every 10 to 12 days. The Live TV grid is useless and time consuming. And the guide has been broken for months.
So having the big 4 network programing reappear in the guide is a promising start.
I only found one channel, PBS Kids, that says programming not available and one FAST channel. All the primary channels of ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox, etc are filled in today and selecting them to watch live gives me no errors and they play fine. Big improvement. All the judge shows today (7 so far) recorded fine as well, as usual. And I still have not done any of the recommended steps to make this better. Such a rebel.
Were you able to record the major channels (especially CBS) or just view live?
Did you click on a few shows to see if you’re getting the “Error Loading Airing Details” message? Usually on the main .1 or -1 channels.
just as a test for tonight.
CBS Big Brother - no. ABC Celebrity Family Feud and Press Your Luck - yes.
NBC The Hunting party and Law and Order Special Victims Unit - yes
Fox all local programming.
Oxygen programming not available
It’s hit or miss with the shows just like Zippy said. It seems to still hate Late Night with Seth Meyers and still the upcoming football games.
Well it looks like I spoke way too soon. And I hope the Tablo folks are listening because this is something new for me. All this while the shows we had scheduled in the past (before the crash) were recording fine. That’s the main reason I didn’t want to do any “resets” for fear of messing things up like others were reporting. Well my live guide looks much improved but I lost most of my scheduled recordings. Let me try to explain…
For any shows that were not previously scheduled to record, I can select them and it gives me all the options and I can watch live or record. But any of the shows that were previously scheduled, it gives me the “error loading airing details”. So I can’t reschedule them. Weird.
And when I previously said I had 7 judge shows from today that recorded fine well we only had 2 from today that recorded in the early morning. Any from this afternoon did not record. The other 5 were from yesterday afternoon because my wife did not get to watch them yet.
So because of this “new for me” problem I went ahead and updated the guide data only. It didn’t help.
And even weirder There’s still a Judge Judy scheduled to record early tomorrow morning but if I try to select any Judge Judy’s in the afternoon on the same channel they give me the error so I cannot record them.
Looks like I’ll have to fire up the legacy now for my wife’s recordings.
One more thing I have “Bob’s Burgers” scheduled to record this evening (Also on Fox like the judge shows) and it’s still in the schedule and I expect it to record. – Yep it recorded just fine.
