I submitted this problem to Tablo Tech before I posted to this forum.
They never responded.
They could have said contact AT&T
They could have said sorry, we can’t help you.
What they said was in effect, we have your money, we don’t care.
The Tablo IP is now 192.168.1.150. I am not sure how it got to .150. I mean I picked that number off the drop down list and at some point it became the Tablo’s IP address. But I tried to change it back to .78 and couldn’t.
I don’t care, it works, it didn’t mess up the port forwarding. I think I now have a stable configuration, no thanks to Tablo.
In some cases, when using the modem/router provided by your ISP (internet service provider) as well as an additional third party router, a conflict can arise that can cause an issue with port forwarding. If you cannot get your ports to forward and the above describes your home setup, take a look at this guide which explains what a double NAT problem is, and how to resolve it:
I created the annief user ID and account, with a dedicated email address for this Tablo.
For some reason the above wouldn’t work on AT&T. Couldn’t get the forum email verification link from AT&T so i switched to another (previously existing) userid and email. They share a common inbox and somehow things got cross pollinated.
