I am not a beta tester, but I am a Plex user for my Tablo. I’m just curious. How is the testing going? What features does the new app bring to the table?
Beta Testers: would you say the new app is a marked improvement? In what way?

Is anyone here running this on the PS4? Perhaps I am the only one having issues?
It’s just weird that tablo/plex previously worked great on the ps4 and now it seems incompatible. Also strange that tablo/plex continues to run just fine on all my other devices. Makes me think Sony is the culprit here…idk.
(Currently, neither the original tablo app or beta is working for me. When I try to access a tv station, all are coming up with a “problem playing” error in plex)
If anyone has any insight I would greatly appreciate it.

An update to my previous post:
Seems like it was on the ps4’s end after all. After the new ps4 update, Tablo is currently working in plex.
I have installed the beta and still cannot get Live TV to stream to Chromecast =(
Everything works great streaming to web browser or iOS app but as soon as I try to Chromecast, I get Error 30. The interesting thing is that some channels will stream - almost like it is a transcoder issue?
Weird. Now it is working. Error 30 seem to be intermittent.
Since this app is designed as a PLEX app, I wonder how hard it would be to provide a means to store permanently selectable content to PLEX folders. Since PLEX is the center of my home theater, it would be the most ideal solution I can imagine to help build my library of OTA content.

Is it possible to get a copy of this plugin? The links in this thread don’t work anymore.
Just install it right in PLEX server. Just do a search in new channels and you should see the Tablo Channel App.

@Davidvr live TV and recordings won’t load in Plex clients on Apple devices. I can provide debug logs if you don’t have any yet.

@jdag If you go to the top level, there’s a link to download a ZIP file in the right column.
Yeah, don’t know. I tried the beta channel from the provided link someplace here when it was new. It seemed to have too many problems so I just uninstalled it as I didn’t want to mess up my actual recordings schedules. Guess you will have to contact the author. He has his own webpage I seem to recall, probably from the PLEX plugin install someplace.

I know this is a project being done for fun, and as such I don’t have any expectations, but does anyone know if the Beta 2 is still being actively developed?
