🚨 Overnight Guide Update, Rescans and Infrastructure

So now it’s starting the second phase of the Guide Update…

11:20am

ETA 3pm… 4pm… 5pm… 6pm

52% at 3:20pm

61% at 4:00pm

66% at 4:30pm

72% at 5:00pm

79% at 5:30pm

90% at 6:00pm

Woohoo! Completed at 6:09pm

Rescan today took 8 hours to complete.

The most annoying thing about any of this is that the rescan introduced an error in the Channel Lineup. I have to correct that and do another rescan.

Obviously for me there were both FAST channel changes and guide updates. neither completed.

Okay, so I bit on your :guide_dog:, :guide_dog: dare, started the update around 9:10 AM, and it took just under 4 hours to complete.

There’s definitely system problems, and they’re not presenting on the Status page. They probably need orange :orange_circle: for Degraded and yellow :yellow_circle: for Investigating entries.

We’ve been watching the Cowboys play like they’ve got no chance of advancing, which is when they seem to win. Maybe if they went through their season thinking they CAN’T win. Hmmm…

You spent 4 hours trying to disprove what I posted. You could have taken it at face value since I attached documented evidence.

Do not presume to tell me I don’t know how forums work.

4 hours?! my scan took about 3 mins. Should I try it again? Or am I missing something?

I’m into the 8th hour of a guide update. After the overnight finished (7.5 hours), I initiated a rescan.

All rescans have a two part guide update. The first finished at 11:20am (1 hour).

I did a Guide Update, I think you did a Rescan of channels. Ya, it took a long time. Don’t do it.


I just opened up the settings and this is what it showed. I didnt touch anything.

I did do a rescan and i did hit the update button in my post from this morning.

Hitting update is superfluous. It’s going to schedule an update anyway.

The status you saw was already there prior to pressing update. Remember it popping?

The scheduled update hadn’t started at that time.
It’s sloooow.

68.1 is ION (WJAL is in Los Angeles)

I agree! I have been trying to setup my brand new Tablo since last Thursday without success! Tablo support are beyond useless. I was asked to put my unit in “remote access” mode with 3-fast pushes of the reset button. I di that - but it’s been 3-days now, and not a peep! All the status pages show “no issues” with the Tablo infrastructure - yet no way anyone is succesfully setting up a new Tablo!! This is ridiculous.

At 4:30am December 26, 2025 the Overnight Guide Update was 18% complete.

It finally finished at 8:40am.

The guide is still corrupted with incorrect information.

I’m having the same issue. CBS was acting wonky so I tried moving my antenna. No change so I attempted to perform a reset but it completely wiped my Tablo unit and had to set it up as if brand new. Lost all of my scheduled recordings. I tried to search for the shows to schedule but none found. Went to the live guide and when I found one, tried to schedule the recording but it displayed an error. Went to download the guide but no change. Now scanning channels on my Fire TV app and it is stuck near the end of a channel scan.

The servers are way out of sync. Android mobile (1 channel) vs LGTV (53 channels).

Android is displaying Channels Guide view.


So for Category Guide view it shows almost no stations and they’re all ‘News’.

In Channels view it displays only one channel.

Channel Lineup displays 53 channels.

Added channels back and rescanned. LGTV has correct channel labels and guide content. Error when attempting to play/view any channel. Android mobile and Fire Stick 4k G2 still are corrupted.

Delete and reinstall the LGTV app and it’s working again.
