As reported by others, very slow for the artwork to appear in the Recordings view. For example, wait for the artwork to display, scroll down (moving first 1 or 2 rows of recordings off the top of the screen), and then scroll back to the top, all the artwork is missing and you have to wait for it to refresh again - very annoying. Using a Roku2 XS.
Also, somewhat slow for the list of actual list of recordings to display also (but not as bad as the artwork). The new layout for listing episodes needs to include some sort of description for each entry. A way to collapse seasons would be nice, along with a sorting option to make the last recorded episode appear first… but this is a Preview and I’m sure there are many things already on the list…
@PhilH I just timed my TCL Roku TV and it took about 20 seconds from the time I selected the Tablo app and the whole guide view populated on the new app. Using the old app it took 36 seconds. What is your TV doing?
@DaleF I ran into this with a Harmony 700 during Beta. The Harmony remotes by default send multiple signals for a button push. You can change this in the MyHarmony app. I changed my up down keys for the Roku device from 3 to 2 signals and it fixed it.
On the ROKU app has anyone else noticed that it is no longer saving the position on exit? However, it will allow you to resume on a previous recording, but even in this case it will not save the new position.
The grid: it should be able to cache the data for at least 15 minutes
The Recording listing: it should be able to retain cache of the poster art while scrolling up and down the list.
Harmony remote: I will try your trick @DaleF
Great Work Tablo! The Roku channel is perfect for me and my family. We don’t use the Roku to look at up coming recordings anyway just view live tv and look at recordings. This is perfect for this purpose!

However, I don't understand why the guide isn't cached somewhere so it doesn't have to reload every time you arrive -- even when just toggling back from the recorded content... is that a Roku SDK restriction? Is there no way to keep the guide data persistent while you remain in the Tablo app?I can understand reloading upon returning to the app but find it painful to have to reload when moving within the Tablo app.
Yes, that’s what I think too. Roku channels seem to be very limited in how much information they can store locally (and for how long). Roku
@krissy and @roraniel I tried changing the multiple signals setting for the roku device in MyHarmony setup and that fixed the problem! Now I can move one spot at a time in the live tv grid Thank you! BTW - I had to bump mine from a 3 down to a 1. Having it at a 2 still was causing double movement in the live tv grid most of the time. Thanks @roraniel!
Updated the app and I like the updated look. @TabloTv There is an issue though with my harmony remote. When clicking any of the directional pad keys it acts as though it is double clicking the button. This did noes not happen with the old roku channel, but happens with the updated version so i dont think its my harmony remote config but something to do with the updated app. I’ll just my android roku remote app for the time being but could you take a look at this?
I updated my tablo 6 hours ago, rebooted the tablo and all my Roku and all of my Roku say unable to connect please make sure your tablo is up to date. I checked the version number it is up to the new version, not sure what else i can do?
The old app connects fine on all my Roku

Having the same problem. It actually connected twice, but I never know when it will or won’t. It works with the old app and with the Fire TV Stick on another TV.

I did the firmware update a few hours ago, and loaded the new preview channel on my Rokus. Love the new live TV grid. A critical, previously missing feature is now working on the Roku.
It seems to basically work. However I am using a Logitech universal remote and when I move up or down, left or right it always jumps by 2, I am unable to switch to the next tile. Everything else works fine on the Roku, so the app may be a little too sensitive?
Now my wife just told me that the Netflix app on the Roku 3 also skipped by 2, so that seems to be my problem. Didn’t happen yesterday though. Oh well.

I also am having the same issue. I can’t connect with the new app but the old app works fine. Hopefully there is a fix for this soon.

I tested out netflix and it does skip twice but only on the spot where i choose profiles. Once im in the app it doesnt. I wonder if there is different levels or types of pages in roku apps and the one that the netflix profile page and ALL of the tablotv pages are using read the RF from logitec as a double click??

After the firmware update, the IOS iPad app often takes many tries to connect.
