We know you’ve all been very excited for the arrival of our new Roku, Amazon Fire TV and Android TV apps and today is the day!
There is also a corresponding firmware release which is 2.1.28.
NOW LIVE: Redesigned Roku Channel Preview and Apps for Amazon Fire TV & Android TV (Firmware 2.1.28)
Woo Hoo!
So, it says we need to add the roku channel as a private channel, but i can’t seem to find the code we need to add it?
@theuser86 - They may have snuck in a few more optimizations so it’s always best to delete re: re-add.
What’s the channel code?
How are we updating the firmware? I don’t see anything (yet) on the app that indicates update firmware (as it usually does).

A quick reboot of the Tablo should force the update message to appear. Otherwise, it will come up in a few hours at most.

All of the details including code links are in the blog post.

@larryg4b thank you. Could not find a link to the new channel in tablo’s blog.

Tried rebooting. Still no update…
Booyah! Can’t wait to try this out when I get home today.
Firmware is updated, Roku3 has the new app, but it won’t connect to Tablo. It finds the Tablo fine, but a message comes up saying that it cannot connect and to go to my.tablo.com to make sure it is updated, which it is. Tried rebooting both the Tablo and the Roku, no luck.
The Roku Channel (Preview) works really well. It has a great feel on the Roku 3. The Roku 1 with a wireless only connection seems to work well, too. Good job, Nuvyoo. I’m looking forward to the phased in improvements and features that you have planned.
@jwrooker are they both connected to the same router? Also, does roku still connect to the tablo using the “old” tablo app?
@jwrooker May sound a little basic, but try going to the Home screen on the Roku and trying again. Let me know how it goes.
After letting things sit for about 10 minutes, I came back and it works fine now. Looks very good!
Thanks and sorry for the false alarm!
Hopefully the new roku app has been tested against roku software 6.2.3332. Yesterday my roku software was updated to 6.2.3332 and the old tablo roku app now tends to cause the roku to reboot when using slow speed fast forward. I had 6 roku reboots in 10 hours.

Same thing happened to me a few times and it started happening as of yesterday. I assumed it was a roku problem, but maybe not. It happened to me while using the thumbnails watching a recorded show. When I clicked on the frame I wanted it to play from the screen went black for about 10 seconds then roku rebooted. We’ll see if it happens with the new firmware update, but yesterday it was happening to me and I was on the beta .27 firmware.
