No MeTV Toons schedule

I mean tbf, that’s still possible assuming what’s showing in the guide incorrectly is still consistent. Just set a series recording for what show is in that time slot. Obviously proper time-based recording would still be better but that is one workaround.

I have a legacy Tablo and there is a way to record by basic channel/timeslot.

From the menu, go to Scheduled, All, then “Add New” in the upper right corner (on roku) or the “+” in the upper right in the Windows app.

Can’t speak for the new Tablo’s.

I did a week ago and Tablo said they couldn’t do anything cause the provider they are working with is refusing to help.

Then it sounds like they need to get on the ball and find a new listings provider.

Are there a lot of commercial guide providers that supply guide data to consumer products. Of course a different one might want more money and that might actually cost you money.

Tablo does periodic satisfaction surveys and they always ask you to rank the importance to you of various features. It is in my top 3 that there are no monthly fees for guides or whatnot.

The freebie guide, for my purposes, is accurate a very high % of the time. I’m not convinced that a for-fee guide would update a whole lot faster, or give me a much improved user experience.

The new channel will be in the guide pretty soon IMO since it is to the advantage of all involved parties to get it working and increase viewership. That’s where the moolah is and provides the push to actually get stuff done.

TABLO on my Samsung TV now has the correct channel info for MeTV Toons.

Toons has not rolled out on all stations by the promised June 25 date. That could delay updates by services providing guides.
If I was a guide provider, I might be telling METV that I’ll update my guide when their rollout is done to all stations, rather than piecemeal going back and updatingthe list as the rollout proceeds.

Thanks everyone for your input. I wasn’t aware of the ability to record by basic channel/timeslot so I’m using that until the schedule appears.

I’m still not getting any guide data for that channel on gen 4, 4 tuner. What’s the ETA? I mean the channel has been out for almost a week now. Why can’t we get the guide figured out? All the info is on tvguide.com

Portland Or area here and I also am not getting guide info for this channel.
All support did was tell me to rescan which I had to do in order to get the channel in the first place, and I am doing every day.
@TabloTV, can you maybe give someone a boost?

As noted, Tablo gets their info from Gracenote. TV Guide is their own provider. Keep an eye on the Zap2it web site for your area. Once it appears there, it should show up on the Tablo soon after. Here in Chicago, Zap2it still doesn’t even list the channel.

I wonder if something might be going on with the guide data as I have the guide data on my Zapperbox DVR, but it only goes out about 1.5 days at a time. So I can see it now and tomorrow, but after that only says “MeToon Programming”

If I wait until tomorrow, I can see it, but it only goes 1.5 days out again. Been like that since release so maybe the data needs to be fixed.

For those that “wonder”, checked guide data for MeTV Toons (DFW area) in Plex DVR, goes out to July 15 (today is July 3).

On Tablo networked OG, guide data (using Roku to get largest range), went out to July 17 (today is July 3).

Obviously, as “new”, I think this can vary not only by provider of EPG but by region as well.

I did not notice this before :grinning: but the full guide data out to 7/17 is there, but it’s on channel 2.1 not 2.10. They are the channel numbers here so I contacted ZB support to see if its something they can look at.

FYI my Zapperbox also has the MeTV Toons channel in the guide but doesn’t have any programs listed. This is a guide that you have to pay for.

At the very least when there’s no guide data for a channel they should break it down into 30 min or hour-long blocks that could still be recorded manually even though you don’t have appropriate guide info titles. This would be an improvement because the channel is useless right now unless you want to watch everything live.

Maybe “they” should have the same style of manual recording on the gen 4 as the legacy. Then all you would have to do is read how the legacy manual recording works.

Anyone in the Philly area able to find me tv too s yet?

The Zapperbox Guide at least in my area is now fully correct and working. If you have a ZB, email support and give your local area and what channel this is on. Fixed my issue overnight. :grinning:

See if it is on a different channel. My ZB guide had it on the wrong channel and support fixed it.
