NEW - Tablo Amazon Fire TV & Android TV App Update (v. 2.0.1)

Hi folks -

Earlier this month we pushed a major update to the main Tablo app for Amazon Fire TV and Android TV (v. 2.0.0).

The reception to the newly update app has been great overall, although a handful of small bugs were reported which we’d like to fix.

Therefore we’re pushing a small maintenance release today that should make this new app even better. Version 2.0.1. should be available in the next day or so is available now!

Here’s what you can expect…

  • Adds improved error messages
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements

A reminder…

If you’ve been using Tablo PREVIEW exclusively, you will need to look for, and download, the Tablo app from the Amazon app store or the Google Play Store. (Canadian users may need to search for NUVYYO instead of Tablo.)

We urge you to make the switch now as the current Tablo PREVIEW app does not support Tablo Connect, will no longer get updates, and will eventually be removed from the app stores.

Just dusted off my Fire TV 1st gen, nice app, but this is rather annoying and counterintuitive - I feel most first time Canadian users will search “Tablo” which returns no app to install on the Fire TV.

Any chance to get Amazon to fix this in their App Store?

I have the very same impression. @TabloSupport said in another thread that they tried as much as they could and Amazon did not budge.
I wonder if NUVYYO could register a secondary business name called “Tablo” and use that name to interface with Amazon :slight_smile:
