NBC or ABC won’t record, same issue as back in August

Since there were 2-3 different types of problems and different users with problems could have one or more of them, no one knows which one you have..

I am having similar issue. Cannot access programming for Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, or Stephen Colbert. Guide shows “To Be Announced” for all of these programs. When I click on them I simply get an error message, “Error Loading Airing Details” accompanied by a “Dismiss” button.

I am having similar problems again with “to be announced” showing in the guide, and the error message when attempting to schedule recording. Before taking the time and energy to go through support again, I will repeat their original advice:

Please try the following steps to correct this issue:

• Go to ‘Channel Lineup’ in the Tablo app Settings menu
• Remove the checkmark from the channel(s) having trouble
• Press the ‘Save’ or ‘Save and Continue’ button (this step is important to remove the old channel data)
• Once the guide is done updating perform another channel scan
• Select the channel(s) to add them back to the guide
• Press the ‘Save’ or 'Save and Continue’ button

After the above has been completed, please setup a test recording to see if this issue has been corrected.

I’m not sure if today’s issue is the same, but here goes.

I regularly record Stephen Colbert as well as Jimmy Kimmel to watch the replay the next day.

During the whole Kimmel debacle, my Tablo dutifully recorded the Kimmel time slot, but when I went to view the recording, I saw Family Feud. I thought at the time it was reasonable that this would happen, as the decision was a fast knee jerk reaction and whatever the data is Tablo keys off to schedule recordings didn’t have time to be updated.

Imagine my surprise when I fired up my Tablo this morning only to discover there was nothing recorded for Kimmel last night!

In my list of upcoming recordings, I DO actually see Kimmel listed, but nothing from last night.

Sooo, what exactly is happening here?

I tend to have very few problems with the program guide, but last night on ABC, Dancing with the Stars did not show in the guide, but rather “To Be Announced”, and this is in the New York City market. This did not make my wife and daughter very happy. They were able to watch it live, but it did not record.

I have both, the newer tablo and the HDMI tablo and this issue was showing on both but they did end up recording

While my live tv grid for fallon and meyers is messed up, the actual guide works fine.

Maybe you haven’t heard that Kimmel was suspended for 1 week by ABC. Subsequently some ABC affiliates are refusing to resume that show since it’s return. So I would suspect that the guide data will need some time to get corrected by the guide masters.

PLEASE DO NOT make this a political thread. I just want to inform the OP why his guide data is off. This is not the place for politics.

Or maybe their local ABC station is owned by Sinclair or Nexstar. In which case kimmel is off the air.

This is not the case, i watched Jimmy’s last night live as it aired and there’s was no problem, today’s show doesn’t show in the guide for one of my ABC channel but it does show in another ABC channel, the problem appears on both the legacy and newer tablo

Hi folks -

We are aware of an increase in guide data errors which are a result of the many recent broadcast scheduling changes.

These should resolve over the coming days.

Yesterday I manually set my Tablo to record Kimmel that night, and today I have no recording. There is no failure indicated, it’s just missing. At the time I set the recording, the show was definitely displayed in the guide data.

I was able to catch the opening on YouTube today, but I’m super unhappy that Tablo had a mysterious failure for such a significant event.

Nope. Not trying to be political at all. Just confused about what the Tablo actually keys from to schedule recordings. I’m guessing here that it has more to do with time slots than a show ID or whatever, because I’ve had to adjust the recording time for certain shows to be about double the show duration. Typically because some dang sportsball event pre-empted and pushed the desired show much further down the line.
