Increase in Guide Issues re: Late Night Programming

Hi folks -

A subset of legacy and 4th Generation Tablo users have recently reported an increase in issues with missing or incorrect TV guide data, particularly around but not limited to late-night variety programming.

These issues are a result of recent broadcast scheduling changes by major networks, which have caused some volatility in the TV guide data Tablo receives from Gracenote, our third-party guide provider.

Over the coming days, we expect this to improve as broadcasters and their local affiliates start to provide Gracenote with updated schedules.

These guide updates will automatically filter through to your Tablo device, so in most cases, no action will be required on your part.

If you are still seeing missing data or strange placeholders for certain programs next week (beginning September 30th), you can take the following actions:

  • Go to SETTINGS > GUIDE in your Tablo app, remove the affected channels from your lineup and hit save.
  • Then run a fresh channel scan and re-add the channels.
  • If you have recordings scheduled for these channels, they will need to be re-scheduled.

If by next week those steps do not fully resolve the issue, contact support with details.
