Not sure if you are a user newer to the community since your profile is private/hidden but search is helpful in these cases. Here are a couple of long existing threads regarding your request:
Since the Tablo has multiple tuners, it would be nice to be able to select multiple channels to watch in real-time while positioning the antenna.
+1 Would love to see a signal meter accessible while tuned to a channel and without having to do a rescan of all channels. From a Roku perspective, I would be ok if, while viewing a channel, you could press the ā*ā button to bring up a menu and from that menu choose a āSignal Strength/Qualityā button that would then pop up information on the screen with the signal strength and quality information. A refresh button could be next to this information so if a user is adjusting their antenna, they ā¦
From what Iāve seen, those dots donāt represent live signal strength. All of my channels show 5 dots. I can unplug my antenna and they still show 5 dots with no reception at all. I think those dots are determined when the channel scan is completed.
I live 12 miles from my broadcast towers in flat as a pancake Florida. And I have an outside antenna about 10ā up.
And still I get choppy reception sometimes. Is the signal too strong? Is it too weak? I donāt know what Iām dealing with.
Itās the only thing keeping me on DirecTV.
I would LOVE to have a menu choice I could go to that would display the current signal strength on each channel.
I know that this has been discussed, but the feature does not exist. Iām thinking that the feature could be added within the existing design framework. In settings, if I look at the channel lineup, a static signal strength is shown. If a live signal strength option existed, this would make it easier for users to tune their antenna.
Iām relatively close to where all of my local TV channels are broadcast, so I could close my eyes and point my antenna.
Requesting this only to make the product better for others.

Understood, I was just saying you could post your thoughts in any of those existing threads vs create another new one.

Ok - thx!
Itās been 20 years since Iāve been on a forum, so my thought process was to start a fresh thread.
This post covers both the OG Legacy and Gen4 units. I donāt know how it was resurrected but itās still being updated as of Aug 2025.
The OG parts are particularly interesting readingā¦
Hey Tablo Fans! Early next week Iāll be gathering feature requests from this thread and throwing them into a master document that our development and management teams can use as they plot out our feature roadmap for the next few quarters.
We have a list of things we 100% want to do, things that we know need tweaking/improvement and weāre hoping to squeeze in some āwouldnāt it be cool ifā features too. For those that have already contributed to this thread - thank you! Your vote will be countā¦
