I want to install Tubi on Tablo
The Tablo Gen4 is a closed system and doesnât provide for user loaded software.
You could post it under âFeature Requestâ. But I doubt it will ever happen.
Why not just install it on the platform your Tablo app is running on?
I did that and it works great. Unless I want to record like everyone else does. Seems the DVR function is limited likely due to contacts/copyright/licencing agreements and other nuisance items.
Yes, like FireTV, Roku, etc.
To record?
No, to watch.
So how would I install Tubi on the Tablo. I want to record Tubi content.
What?
The OP wants to install the TUBI app on the Tablo Gen4.
Two posts presume it is to watch TUBI and suggests that the OP instead install it on the same platform as the Tablo app.
My presumption is the OP already does that and would probably prefer to use another function of the Tablo. DVR capabilities.
OTA is not possible on TUBI.
The only other function would be streaming which they both do.
What do you think?
Scripps would have to come to an agreement with Tubi (owned by Fox I think) to allow it. The FAST channels that can be recorded are mostly owned by Scripps or are independant, so even if they could get an agreement, it might be something like the WB channels, where you can watch but not record.
As I said in my previous post.
I think you are making the intent of the OPâs question more complicated than it needs to be.
Are you just posting to up your post count?
Off topic, while I appreciate the intent of what you were trying to do earlier when you responded to a bunch of posts with âtry againâ I guess implying there was another Tablo outage in the last day were you doing it with any official word from Tablo?
Again, I can appreciate it was an educated guess and may well be correct, but it can also potentially confuse people even more or send them in the wrong direction if it turns out there really wasnât an outage.
I think youâre reading too much into what my intentions are.
I donât care about post count.
I donât need permission to post on any topic in the Community Forums. Everyone else is free to post any kind of gibberish and do.
Lots of people were posting to the threads to which I responded. Most was unhelpful and nonsense.
Almost every thread had garbage responses.
I was monitoring my specific error realtime. Once the change was made for the Guide Update everything worked normally.
I simply bumped those threads which were left hanging. Yes. All those threads were left hanging with responses that were not useful. Those are the threads that were reporting the same symptoms as I was experiencing.
Iâve been told repeatedly by senior contributing members that I donât understand how this forum works. Iâve seen that response given to others who are sincerely seeking help and getting none.
Additionally there were no Tablo staff emails Friday. None Thursday. Not until Saturday morning due to holiday staffing. Some tech personnel resolved the Guide Update issue Friday. It started Wednesday.
You were mostly correct with your guide updating issue, at least for some folks, plenty of us didnât have issues. But, and I will admit you replied to a lot of posts, I donât recall each one of them at the moment, I seem to recall at least a few of those posts having nothing to do with guide data issues so making a blanket statement may not have been the most informed.
I do see Tablo officially responded in another post about putting in some fixes for the guide issue specifically, so thatâs good.
I think a lot of us âsenior contributing membersâ have been around long enough that we donât make certain assumptions anymore and wait to get a little more detail from Tablo before rushing into replying to posts when the information may not be totally accurate, which then just confuses things even more.
Do you work for Nuvyyo?
Are you admonishing or warning me about posting?
I think you are taking liberties and speaking in generalities regarding what others think.
I got my information directly from Tablo. Itâs no assumption.
By directly from Tablo are you referring to this post?
No sir. That was this morning.
I must have missed it in one of the other posts (would you mind linking if so) or did you contact them via another method?
