Guide still not showing Metv Toons

I’m sure it has been suggested that Tablo be equipped for manual recording setup, like a VCR BITD.
Users could get the schedules from a source more reliable thantablo (whatever it may be) and set up the tablo manually to record must have shows in the proper time segments.
For the dozen+ channels I ever look at, the tablo guide is usually correct and more convenient than manual setup.
For my purposes, the tablo guide is great value at the price of no xtra charge.
But that’s just me and I do get it that it that it’s annoying when the tablo guide doesn’t provide what one is looking for.

So, I waited til this morning to before I messed with the lineup to let the Tablos to run nightly maintenance and clean up.

I re-scanned both Tablos and added a couple of channels that I was ignoring because of either no episode info or no info at all.

The Legacy had no change at all. No MeTV Toons info at all, and AMG 27-1 and ACE 29-4 had shows but no episode info.

The 4th Gen is the same except MeTV Toons. It has programming info and I can actually schedule shows!

So why doesn’t the Legacy have MeTV Toons but the 4th Gen does? I can select and watch Toons on the Legacy, there is just no guide info

Still nothing in Sacramento for Me TV Toons. Zap2it has it listed under the wrong channel (33.2 instead of 31.6) and the guide is 2 hours ahead. I complained to them 3 times already but get no reply.

I don’t know what happened to Gracenote but they suck now, Tablo should switch to Xperi (Tivo)

How much are you willing to pay.

I talked to the dude at the xfinitude store and he says if I just pay for their plans and hardware, I will have perfect schedules and dvr performance and lightning fast speed and everything else I want.
I like the Tablo price. No schedule provider is going to be perfect.

So, it’s been a week now and I still don’t have MeTV Toons on my Legacy Tablo. The 4th gen shows the programming fine and it is correct, however the programming doesn’t show on the Legacy.
I have deleted the app and rescanned, rebooted the Roku and router, and still no guide.
The Tablo picks up the station and I can tune to it and watch it, just no guide info.
@TabloTV , is there a difference between the guide info that the two get or should I be opening a ticket?

Put your zip in at zap2it, when and IF it shows up there will on your Tablo. Zap (Gracenote)used to be good, went to hell at the time MeToons came out. Would report something was fixed in a couple of days, reported Toons and other things probably 10 times over 3 months nothing fixed or added just gave up.

I already get the guide info on my 4th gen, just not on the legacy. I was asking @TabloTV why not.

I’ve had the same experience with Zap2It. No longer seems to be reliable in making corrections.

They get their programming from Gracenotes just like Tablo.

While Gracenote is the data supplier for both our 4th Generation and Legacy models, data is distributed to both in different ways.

So if I want Toons on my legacy, I’ll have to wait until the software is updated to receive FAST channels?
Or are you finally going to change to a provider that does what they are being paid for?

I own a Tablo Legacy and in my area 32821 (central FL), i get two signals for metoonstv. the local one with great signal doesn’t have programming but the channel with weak signal does receive it. quite frustrating since recordings don’t work properly. Hopefully @TabloTV will turn the page and enhance their partneship and get this fixed.

My yearly renewal is March, just cancelled because Gracenote won’t fix guide anymore.

What do you mean? You contacted them?

Is there a roadmap to fixing the issues between the two companies? Any plans to transition to something new if they can no longer support the needs of Tablo and its customers?

You seem to think that tablo is the only tuner/DVR product that uses gracenotes. When the guide is incorrect in tablo my other DVR product has the very same issue. So I’m sure everyone has been complaining to gracenotes.

The question is…how long does a company allow a broken business relationship to continue? I’m sure Gracenote has competitors.

How much are you willing to pay for a new relationship?
