I noticed you can filter the guide data for movies, for example, by ratings or channel (on a PC).

Obviously not. If you’re using a PC to access your tablo, you may consider one of the #tablo-apps:third-party-apps-plex – 3rd Party apps. More specifically APL Tablo Client it has a whole lot of custom views and filters.
You can 1 by type 2 Date/Time
For this window, it’s nice in that is show you an actual schedule of shows (which may not matter). There are way more features available, this is just an option.
Sometimes 3rd party apps pick up where tablo leaves off, mostly because they’re a one-size-fits-all. Not too much to to confuse some, but enough to make it useful for most… but not everyone is always completely happy but most are alright with what they got.
