Well that is interesting to know. For me, that status page loads very quickly. I don’t know if that means anything.

It tells you if your Tablos are connected to your network…

TabloTV mentioned a while back that they were going to add some more details to the page… Today’s outage seems like a really good reason to write a few more lines of code.

My experience for load times is Roku, IPad, Android Phone are always slow. Fire Stick is always lightning fast.

After a difficult day yesterday, failing to access anything on my fourth GEN Tablo this morning all was working fine. Had a doctors appointment and afterwords came home and attempted to view some live programming. The program list shows up fine, but selecting a particular program removes the defining words underneath the selection And selecting it anyway results in “loading the data” appearing on the screen. This is only occurring on my Roku ultra. All is fine on the iPhone and the iPad. Just one more problem for this very complicated system. Will it ever end?

I got this message back from Tablo support.

“Our team has been made aware of an issue with the latest Roku Tablo 4th Gen app update (v. 0.8.700) and we are actively investigating.

We are working on a fix with urgency and ask for your patience while we work on releasing an update.”

I guess you just wait until whenever they push an update or you just select as few channels in your lineup as possible. They didn’t even give me any suggestions, but I guess I’m alright with that since I’ve tried everything I can possibly think of.

After implementing this, I now only have 16 channels since they are the only channels that I record from anyway.

I have been experiencing total hangs when opening the client app in the late afternoon most times. I hope by doing this it resolves that issue.

So now that I seem to have my Tablo v4 working stable again after the Sunday fiasco, I’ll just say that by doing this it has so far made the app come up really fast and the app runs really snappy now navigating through the menus on all of my client platforms. Now will see what happens in the afternoon time when I’ve experienced the hangs on startup.

My Roku 4670RW sped up some after I unchecked all but seven channels in the Tablo channel list. Now the home screen does not need to load pictures of live and upcoming programs for 150+ channels.

After removing all of those 480i channels that I’ll never record on my Tablo v4 anyway (from 42 channels down to just 16 channels now), the Tablo TV app load time and navigation through the GUI menus is screaming fast all the time now on my Fire TV, Google TV, Samsung TV, Android, and iOS platforms. No more afternoon hangs when trying to access my Tablo TV.
