Channels in different markets

Do you own a hdhomerun. I’ve owned them since the connect duo first came out years ago and also own a 4 tuner 4k kickstarted ATSC 3.0 unit. “detect” scan is a full destructive scan. And I don’t live in an area with power failures so I don’t think my units have had a power up for 2+ years.

They make antenna combiners so you can ditch the rotator. You would need more than 1 antenna, but people could watch shows from different locations.

No. So the documentation says that it checks for new channels in the background during use and adds them.

If this is incorrect it’s not my fault.

Ya, I’d probably have one too if I lived in a market where it was needed.

These are a lot of good hardware solutions for a minor software change.

Exactly! Tablo could fix this easy! And that nonsense they spew about one market guide is just bs. Ive received the opposite market off the backside of my antenna on a scan and it appears just fine in the guide.

You do live in a market that could use multiple antennas. You just ignore it. There are transmitters all over Dallas and Fort Worth.

What?!

I am able to “DX” out of market stations all the time from hundreds of miles away.

I’m using dual antennas now successfully and thinking about a third antenna. My mast really isn’t big enough for a third so haven’t yet come up with a solution. Also worried about a third causing issues. I’m thinking the third antenna running directly to tv and skipping the tablo that way i don’t interfere with current set up. I’m sitting an hour and half out of Dallas but successfully get that market most of the time running dual antennas. If i put up third antenna i will be pointing toward tyler / nachodoghes market. Which at times pick up off the backside of antenna as is.

The Channel Master combiner above is $30 bucks and could free up (eliminate) some rotation problems. Just fix the antenna positions and don’t rotate.

Or put both (a few degrees apart) on the rotator and use the combiner…

Or use the rotator for the third antenna.
Good Luck.
