Back Button to Hide Status Bar

On the apps that I use on my Roku, such as Netflix, Prime, YouTube, Fandango, et cetera a status bar with timeline appears when hitting pause. Hitting the back button once removes the status bar and leaves the paused image on-screen. Hitting it a second time takes it back to the previous area. With the Tablo app it takes it back to the previous area the first time. Is there a way to leave the paused image on-screen while removing the status bar? It would be even better (in my opinion) to have it act similar to the other apps.

Did you try the up arrow? From what I remember that worked for me.

Thanks for the suggestion! I did try it, but unfortunately it did not work. :slightly_frowning_face:

I am hoping that the Tablo developers will update the Roku app so that pressing the back button when the overlay is on-screen will make it vanish and then a second press will actually take you back. This would make it consistent with the other major apps.

Well, I’ll be… I would have sworn that the BACK button would have cleared that. I just tested it on my Roku Ultra, and it does not. Nothing I tried would clear it, neither for live viewing nor recordings. I was convinced that you could clear it. I would bet that it worked in an earlier version of the user interface.

l am glad you said that! :slightly_smiling_face: I was thinking the same thing. I could have sworn that this used to work. Perhaps we will get this back in near future.
