I see noticeable stuttering when watching football games on the Apple TV app. I do not encounter this issue on the Roku and iOS apps. After doing some research here, it appears to be related to the deinterlacing function. For some channels deinterlacing needs to be enabled for smooth video while other channels it must be disabled.
This thread describes the issue and I agree with the OP that having to toggle the setting for different channels is annoying. Is there any reason why the Apple TV app can’t apply the necessary deinterlacing automatically?
