Writing a program to work with channels

I was wondering if there is any way to access the 4th gen Tablo channel list via http api or not?
Also, I plan to make this use WSA and Tablo app and OBS and VLC.

Unfortunately, no. I think access could be opened up, but the company isn’t willing to do this. It’s available on the Legacy Tablo, if you’re interested in one of those. You can find one on ebay, but it requires a $5/mo subscription. I think it’s more stable, has more user-friendly features, and has off-network and out-of-home operation.

Something else the OG/Legacy has is 3rd party apps called Tablo Ripper and Tablo Tools. Look them up, for managing Tablo content. Sorely missing these features in the Gen4 device. Not having this could be a requirement of future DRM.

No, I don’t want old hardware, but I have decided to use SQLite to store channel lists for the server.

The main reason I am doing this is my fire stick will not install the app guess it’s too old.

It’ll start being for Texas users of Tablo 4G devices.

Would an NDA help me to do this with Apis?

You’d need to contact Tablo offline, directly.

Is it possible to start playback of a specific channel via adb?

@Josh_Booker Sorry but we aren’t able to provide API access to Tablo devices.

It will likely be much more simple to upgrade your Fire TV device.
