There is one feature in the Gen4 Roku app that needs attention. When scrolling down the Channels column on the Live grid, the program info near the top of the screen should either: 1) be blanked out because it doesn’t match the channel where the focus is, or 2) be updated to reflect the channel where the focus is. If I had a vote, I would really prefer the second option. (It’s done that way in the legacy app.) Thanks.
The Tablo app has been updated for i(Pad)OS and Firestick several times in the past few months. These updates have enhanced the Live view and Library.Scheduled views. The Roku app remains at 0.8 build 600. It would be nice to see the Roku app consider some of the other platform updates.
Am I missing something here? The Roku live grid used to work wonderfully. But now, when leaving a program and returning to the grid, the focus always goes to the cell in the upper left corner (ion). It used to return to the cell that was used to select the program. What’s up???
Could this mean that antenna man’s review of the gen 4 and the gen 4 roku app is a deep or cheap fake.
Or maybe it’s roku OS 13.
For a while last Saturday night (July 6), the live grid was back to working great. It’s now broke again.
Question, Tablo. Earlier today, the Live grid (using the Roku app) was working perfectly. This means that the focus on the grid, when quitting a program, would return to the same cell that had been selected to get to the program. It did this reliably for the hour or so that I used it. Later today, using the exact same setup, the focus consistently returned to the WRONG cell (top row, far left).
Here is my question: Is there something I can do at my end to make the focus on the grid work properly all the time, or is something at the server end intermittent? Thanks.
This unrelated to anything server-side.
We believe this is related to the Roku OS 13 update. It sounds like your Roku may have updated to such today.
It is a known issue. We are planning to fix it in an upcoming update.
As it stands, there’s nothing you can do to fix this now but we are on it.
