Wifi connection problems on setup

I’ve been on the phone for 2 hours with support and nobody seems to be able to fix my problem. I’m a brand new user and haven’t been able to get it to connect to my Wi-Fi at all. I get as far as putting in my password for my Wi-Fi and then I get an error message telling me to call support. I do not have a VPN. I have tried all the steps they told me resetting disconnecting the tablo, my modem and router, trying different devices for setup, all Android. Anyone have an idea how to fix this? I have the modem that I received from my internet provider that is only a year old, and a 2-year-old Orbi router. We could not even get it to work plugging it in directly to the router

The hardest thing I had was trying to create an account with my Samsung S22 cell phone. After that, everything went smoothly. I do have my base unit plugged in to my router. Here are some troubleshooting tips you can try if you haven’t already. The main one I think would be a hard reset with the reset button.

Is your phone and the Tablo on the same WiFi? If one is on the 2.4 and the other on the 5 I don’t think it’ll work.

Of course WiFi 2.4 to 5 client and tablo works. As does WiFi to wired ethernet. Multiple LAN networks - multiple DHCP servers. years ago I could never get a tablet to a new android OS to work. Had to use an android phone with an ancient android OS.

I have no idea what that means. Sorry I am not that techy. I understand there’s a difference between 2.4 and 5 but I don’t know how to change it on the orbi so that the tablo will connect :upside_down_face:

Phone is on 5. I’ll try with my old tablet

Sounds like the 2.4 and 5 thing won’t make a difference, they just both need to be connected to the Internet. Good luck using the tablet.

make sure your hard drive is is disconnected. Also hit reset.
