I have a 4ch. Gen4. What is the best remote control for Tablo, my LG remote is unpredictable, example 'pause and play work at random times. You would think they would include a remote with the unit.
The best remote is the one that comes with your streaming device. You’ll need a Roku, firestick, or onn device. You can run it on a smart tv but those apps are usually not well supported.
The 4th gen Tablo doesn’t connect directly to a TV, so there can’t be a remote for it.
As mentioned by others, because the Tablo works with a separate streaming device, it does not come with a remote. Any remote would be streaming-device-dependent, NOT Tablo-dependent.
If you are not happy with the interface on your LG TV, attach a separate, external streaming device. I assume if your current setup is having problems with streaming services, like Netflix, Hulu, etc., a separate streaming device would solve those problems, too.

Personally, I prefer Roku, but there are plenty of options out there.
Personally I like the app with my Roku Ultra remote the best.
