Welcome aboard.

Depends on Router and any obstructions.
Sometimes a Repeater is necessary between a device and the Router.

Pretty much trial and error.

Yup, depends on router (speed), and what freq band you are using. I am 55’ away, on another floor, using gigspeed router. I clock in at 200Mbps, and only Tablo issue, is occasionally “weak signal”, on my indoor antenna. Any other buffering, hang condition I believe, is inadequate Tablo system recovery.
