The ability to watch live & recorded tv when internet is down.
Have access to a mini-guide/grid while watching live TV and see what’s on other channels similar to the functionality with the OG Tablo/Roku device.
The current Gen4 method of displaying programs along the bottom of the screen is just too much.

Playback speed control. Similar to YouTube.
Undelete.
Windows Desktop App.
Watch from beginning when recording.
Ability to move recordings offline with 3rd party apps like Tablo Ripper, et.
Watching from the beginning while recording is huge. Sports fans or news junkies who like to FF through commercials to catch up to live action are screwed for now.
Reliable recording off FAST Channels.
Mark as Watched/Unwatched buttons.
You can watch from the beginning on the Firestick app. I think it may also work on Roku.
And it also works with onn devices.
Watch from the begging while recording works fine on all my Roku.
Ability to choose more than one channel to record from.
Right now it’s either one or all. I am recording a show that is on three channels, two are HD and one is SD. I would like to pick the two good channels and not the SD channel.
What streaming device do you use? I can do this now in my Apple TV:
This is where you can tell the Tablo what channel to record from.
But you can’t select more than one channel. I have a show that is broadcast on three channels. I want to pick the two channels that are good and not the one that has problems. This is on both the 4th gen and the Legacy using Roku, Chromecast, Onn, Android tablet, etc, etc, etc.
Ah, true. True But at least you can choose one of the channels that is “good” for your recordings. Being able to choose more than one channel to record from sounds like a feature request, eh @TabloTV?
There is a way to do this today, but it isn’t user friendly or cheap.
If you own 2 Tablos you can setup a different preferred channel on each Tablo. Of course you would have to switch back and forth between each Tablo to try to find a particular episode, but it is doable.
That channel that ‘has problems,’ do you watch or record anything else on that channel. If it doesn’t come in well, and you don’t use it, you could just delete the channel from your channel guide. Then the Tablo would only record on the two good channels.
Just a thought.
It doesn’t need any reliability on Tablo’s end if they designed that part correctly.
A Live TV Sync Source on Fire TV
We’re watching this thread closely and tagging our development team.
I would appreciate it if we had a software interface to the tuners on 4th Gen Tablo devices to troubleshoot reception issues, including a signal strength meter by physical or virtual channel. Also the ability to scan an individual channel manually so a full rescan isn’t needed each time you scan.
