What does the Disconnect option do from the menu?

I normally just close the app or if I’m watching from the Windows 10 app, I just closed down the window. What is the real purpose behind the Disconnect option?

You can disconnect to get back to the connection screen where you can delete the Tablo from your device say if you want to force a fresh sync.

Or if you have multiple Tablos and want to switch back and forth between them.
