What does a red channel mean?

Noticed when changing channels that there can be at least one channel that can be formatted in red.
What does this mean? If not an error, poor choice of color IMO.

Means a tuner is currently tuned to it and/or something is being recorded on it. Iā€™m assuming the red is related to the old red record buttons people are used to.
