The Recorded option would only list recorded programs in the library. The Scheduled option would list all programs scheduled by the user.
I have a lot of scheduled programs in the library. When I start the Tablo I navigate to the TV Show/Movies/Sports menu entries and only want to see my Recorded shows NOT everything that is scheduled.
I have a lot of scheduled programs and am forced to scroll endlessly to view the programs that have recorded episodes.
Could not agree more. The library now has sections for ALL, TV Shows, Movies, Sports…
Simply have ALL display everything, regardless of whether or not there are recordings stored, and all the others display only programs with recordings. It would make things so much easier.
Just offering a suggestion that would be simple, easy to implement, and have minimal impact on the rest of the interface. As it is, I go to other menus when I am selecting programs to watch anyway.
I can go onto my legacy and I have an upper level menu called “recording”. Inside that menu I can filter by all, recent, TV shows, movies, and sports. How hard is that. Dump the “news” menu and replace it with something useful.
Showing scheduled recordings in the library of recorded shows is just NUTS! We shouldn’t be surprised as we have come to expect this sort of thing from the “new and improved” TABLO programmers.
You get the feeling that the tablo apps are being programed via AI. The very same look and feel and bugs that appeared 4-5 months ago in the fire tv stick app showed up in the roku 1.0 update. It’s almost impossible to work around and use some of the insanity in the guide. If I want to use the gen 4 I first have to verify what I want to record in the legacy guide.
The iPad app has a Scheduled tab that has everything that is scheduled. The All Programs, TV Shows, Movies and Sports tabs only have recordings. All apps should be this way.
@Zippy’s suggestion to allow users to view recorded content in one app page by selecting Shows/Movie/Sports check boxes is an excellent one.
I’ve only been a Tablo customer for 6 months though I’m a fairly savvy software user. I have to say I love the Tablo platform, it’s ability to record and broadcast content to most phone/tablet/TV devices in my house. This is why I bought the product in the first place. I have not experienced the connectivity problems that some other users have reported.
The app does have a few usability issues which are a little annoying. It would be great if the Tablo development team brought on customers as beta testers so they could help target improvement opportunities with the software.
Regardless of all this kudos to Tablo for a verstatile and innovative product.
