Just echoing @snowcat here! Just use the serial number on the bottom of the 4-Tuner and add it to your account on the https://account.tablotv.com/ portal.

I have the new unit accept the existing hdd by adding my new unit’s S/N to my user account before turning the new unit on?

No you need to have Tablo migrate the database on the old Tablo to the new Tablo to use the same HDD

Contact them directly with a Support Ticket to do this.

Of course yes you will have to add the new Tablo to your account to get the subscription services.
