Hi. I’m really liking my new Quad with internal 1 tb hard drive. Am I also allowed to add an external hard drive via usb port? Would I be able to use the internal and external hard drives?
I think it’s one or the other - not both. If you had both attached my guess would be that the internal drive would be used, but I’ve never tried it.
I’m pretty sure if you add an external drive it’s used instead of the internal. You can’t use two drives at the same time.
For the Tablo QUAD 1TB DVR, its internal SATA drive must be removed before adding new compatible storage. Users can choose to replace the internal drive with any other compatible 2.5” 7-9mm height SATA drive, or connect any compatible portable external hard drive via USB.
